He was the ref for the drubbing against Man City at the Amex last season. Seen leaving the ground with Phil Foden's jockstrap over his face.

Everyone goes on about how he says ‘trust the process’ but it’s how often he says intensity that annoys me.

Overall I thought he spoke well.

Hes an absolute catch phrase merchant.

I've got a horrible feeling he might be one of those people everyone knows In all industries. The guy who figures out early on, how to say exactly the things to say to executive management to sound impressive, are a dream to manage and are great in 1:1's while secretly their department is falling apart.

You usually find out they have left when you are approached by someone's PA to sign their leaving card. And they've had their pass revoked and desk cleaned out under unclear circumstances.

Of course, like Boris Johnson after the Brexit results I've got a completely different version of this post on a word document, that I'll edit and paste here on Saturday night if we win, saying how great he is and how good TonyPaul are at spotting gems.

You can see why he would have interviewed well though. Very analytical, calm and seemingly intelligent.
Problem could be that he understands the issue/ problem, but doesn’t have the skills/ knowledge/ expertise to find appropriate solutions ( to swallow an executive’s competency phrasebook)
