He’s still very young.

Any prospective purchasers are buying proven quality IMO, with potential to develop. Personally, I think loan, but if £80m is offered I’d take it.

Some distance from the £100+ that was previously suggested when he first hit the first team.

At the moment, he is a £30m player at most. He has been woeful for well over a year now, and if the club are not downplaying glandular fever or serious injuries then I'm not convinced he's worth keeping if an offer comes in. It's a shame, when Ferguson was at his best you felt he could be a genuine superstar.

But I'm afraid football is littered with players who start their careers brightly and end up very run of the mill. In the end, only the club knows the real story with him. If he is recovering and they have faith in him, he's well worth keeping. If there is no real reason for the drop off, alarm bells will be ringing.

I dont want to sell him. But i suspect if 45m was offered it would be hard to turn down.

Obvs if he gets fit and firing you would want 80...

If there's loan deals (with no option) on the table I'd take one of those over any offer - and it seems, touch wood, that there are plenty of loan offers, so the question is hopefully academic.
If for some reason we absolutely had to sell, I would guess at anything over £50M.

The clues to his real current value, are that he has a poor fitness record, he can’t get in the Brighton team (even when fit) and has scored a couple of goals in two years.
Pretty sure that will have been noted by clubs with 60 odd million to spend.
Put it this way - imagine If we paid that much for a Fulham player with Ferguson’s track record. there would be the mother of all meltdowns on here. And rightly so.
If we get offers atm they will likely be derisory, so I hope we turn them down, and stick with him. The player he briefly was in 2022 was on his way to being worth £80m. Maybe he will never consistently get back there, hopefully he will.

If he played for someone else and had gone from shit hot to, well, a bit shit, NSC would be saying £10m plus. I think £20m to £25m plus add ons and a sell on percentage would be about right.

If sold, I expect it to be announced as undisclosed but rumored to be £40 million. However the reality would be a lot lower with the potential to increase up to £40 million.

This may come back to bite me but I still think he's a potential 100m striker in the coming years, when he was at his best he looked like a young Harry Kane.

I really don’t want to see a permanent sale at this point. His value will have dropped significantly in the last 18 months and we would possibly stand to lose 10’s of millions.
Lets ship him out on loan to a Leverkusen type club and let him start banging them in again so we can at least get what he’s potentially worth In the summer. Thats, if we must sell.

I don't know what we should sell him for but it's somewhere between £200m and the cost of the petrol it takes me to drive him to the airport myself

He has played 1100 minutes for us in 15 ish months scoring 1 goal. His value based on that is probably £15m given not prolific and very injury prone.

Value on the previous 15 months is probably £80m.

So somewhere in the middle of the two with a sell on is about right.

VERY reliable source has said £40m (EXwhu).
