Gilliver's Travels
Peripatetic
Just proves you can't always trust the Internet, Brian! If you read a little further down on that web page, you will find a note of correction. The account I read on the internet says he is buried in Bersted near Bognor so one is wrong.
From the history of The Royal Sussex Regiment:
Mr William Ward–Higgs lived at Hollywood House in South Bersted, Bognor Regis, at the time of writing “Sussex by the Sea” a fact commemorated today by a plaque on the side of the house. Ward-Higgs's grave is in Bersted churchyard
The plaque is there on the house, for sure, but there's no grave in South Bersted churchyard. Details of Ward-Higgs' funeral and record of cremation were provided to me by the funeral directors, and Norwood Cemetery officials.
