Could someone tell me WHY its being played before the game?? Not heard anything about it.
Its only a song, We shouldn't hate something just because our rivals like it too, its kind of like saying you're a manchester united fan and you hate the Beatles because they are liverpudlian
Only a handful of Albion fans will know that it's a Palace song.
And most of those only found out via this dance thing/poll thing.
It will largely pass without comment.
Not quite. It's more like United fans taking exception to having You'll Never Walk Alone played before a game at Old Trafford.
Personally I think it's pretty gay that so many Albion fans are happy about our cheerleaders being made to dance to Palace's anthem. I'm all for lessening the HATRED between supporters, but this is just a little too public. You can't imagine the same happening at other clubs.
I'm sure it's just me being a miserable bugger though, and it is all for a good cause.
Surely any Brighton fans who have been to Selhurst park will know Palace come out to it, it plays when they score and when the game finishes?
I think the announcer on the day needs to give some background as to the meaning of it all as I fear the knuckledraggers may get restless.

True.I don't know how the song came to be adopted by Palace because the Dave Clark Five were from Tottenham.
... and Martin Perry nearly got arrested, for the crime of invading the directors' car park in an Albion shirt. My recollection was that the first choon after the PV game was Queen's "We are the Champions" and Yaz's "The only way is up" also featured.
As a club that day I thought PV showed a lot of class and respect. Some of their fans were complete planks however, chasing isolated Albion fans all over the streets of delightful Burslem.
