My polling station instructions specifically banned all dogs except assistance dogs. Election void!went in to mine (Silsden, W Yorks) at 12.30'ish, about ~10 people there and two small dogs, had to wait about 3 minutes.
I did see a rather officious looking lady with grey hair perhaps in her 60’s sporting a Green Rosette on the corner of Herbert & Balfour making notes on her clipboard…Yep, just been. Only me and one other around. No representative from any party to be seen.
We voted at 11.00 in 'rural'ish Faversham. Two in front of us and two behind. If I were asked if it is too early to tell what the turnout is like I'd reply that it's too early to tell.Voted early here in rural Lewes and as expected it was quiet, it doesn't mean anything tbh, but in larger towns / cities it would be interesting to know!
Fair play to you too, despite my differences with you i’ve always found you to be honest and true to your beliefs, half these Labour newbie’s would wear a dog shit neckless if Sir Kier Spineless told them too!!I'll update you soon. I guess as a Labour member I should be volunteering for stuff like this, but honestly f*** that, I've been told plenty times someone with my socialist views ain't wanted - OK I listened and acted accordingly
Definitely less posters in windows around my part of Hove for this election.Funnily enough only rosettes I saw this morning where two Greens, the theatre of trees polling station having been divided in two and one at each entrance. I did see Peter Kyle with a few red rosetted supporters just off Hangleton Road this morning. There certainly seems to be far less rosettes and posters generally at this election though
Do you mean they were checking dental records?I'd say it was pretty busy in Findon this morning, less so when I voted mid afternoon.
Interesting to note the much tighter procedure with ID as well. Very clearly adhered to policy.
Waste of money and paper. Why give out posters in a seat with a 17k majority, and probably going to get larger?Definitely less posters in windows around my part of Hove for this election.
Oh that was just a member of Chelsea's recruitment team looking to sign anyone from Brighton.I did see a rather officious looking lady with grey hair perhaps in her 60’s sporting a Green Rosette on the corner of Herbert & Balfour making notes on her clipboard…
I don't know if you've noticed but they've collapsed, mainly because the "socialist" opposition has stolen all their policies and hence voters. The whole thing's a con, we should have a choiceThis is a common-ish view between my lefty friends, but it's nonsense. Would you prefer the Tories, honestly?
Knoyle Road update - a minute wait, about 2 or 3 in front of you. No Labour presence at all - for a polling station I've taken numbers at (telling) many times in the past. Met someone coming out who said they just resigned from the Labour party four months ago. Greens were there, nice lady with a cute dog. Also not taking any numbers for some reason, assume because they are pretty relaxed about it allSame. I support the party financially through my membership subs, but beyond that...
