[Albion] How are you getting to Rome?

Looks like a lot of posters don't understand the airline's dynamic pricing models. Of course prices will rise at payment stage if more seats are sold in the time between you searching for them and trying to confirm payment. The price shown is only valid at point of search request.

We managed to get BA on Vueling from LGW for just over 200 each.
I think people understand them but don't agree with them. Price advertised should be the price you pay at the till. It's criminal that they get to say "sorry, we've changed the price of that whilst you were jumping through the hoops of navigating pages upon pages of add-ons."

P.S. sorry for the weird homophobic abuse aimed at you later on in this thread - utterly bizarre and quite hard to understand.

Was in and out within a minute or so of being drawn out vs Roma. Only hit the 'prices have increased' snag once before successfully checking out. Had a spreadsheet ready with links for each location which sped the process up tenfold.

Booked flights for my group of 7 at a cost of around £135pp and a big AirBNB between us at a cost of around £115pp, so £250 all in for 2 nights which we were pretty chuffed with.

I managed to get EasyJet 06:45 from Gatwick to Rome on Wednesday morning, returning Saturday evening for £135. Ticket went up by £20 by the time I could click pay but was very happy with that. In hindsight that later timed flight might have been somewhat more convenient but I struggle to keep on top of all the different options. I thought I'd leave it until 16 was reduced to 8 last night, and ended up going to bed about 3am after planning the possible trips 🤡. Good to see options involving flights and trains compare reasonably though, hope we can get a huge following out there.

Had a few problems booking. Finally booked a package deal, return flights and four nights hotel for £420.
Bit pricey but my wife really wanted to go to Rome so win, win with many Brownie points in hand.
Back in time for the Forest game.
£420 for 4 nights in Rome isn't "a bit pricey"! It's as cheap as chips

After everything either recalculating prices at one or more stages and/or saying, no longer available, I ended up going Gatwick-Nice-Rome on the 6th, and Rome-Milan Linate-train-Milan Malpensa-Gatwick back on the 8th.

A bit of a faff, but flights were just under £180 and the train will be £15-16.

All that, and a loft apartment in Rome c.£260 each for three of us.

More than I wanted (especially when flights were £46 last night), but less than I thought we might end up paying.

Does anyone know what the Place De Joilette/ King and Queen equivalent will be in Rome?
Plenty of space here, and a McDonalds close by...

Stay in Pisa Wednesday night, saves rushing for train.

Train to Rome Thursday morning

Train to Pisa on Friday

Flight back Friday afternoon

Originally booked flights to Rome but then got email , after paying, saying booking cancelled!

Absolute joke, although now it’s actually worked out better, the system is a farce.
