Virgin will be back at Gatwick again soonish - so it will be getting busier.

The cost of living crisis doesn’t seem (yet) to be adversely affecting holiday passenger numbers. R4 I think mentioned a figure at 95% of 2019’s. Pent up demand from 2 years of restrictions, plus many people saved fortunes/paid off debt with little to buy.

Others on their last hurrah with the plastic.

The flight loads are rammed, not much space on many flights

I wonder how many bookings are vouchers?

Where did you fly to/from please?

Luton - Skopje
Bus to Ohrit
Bus to Tirana
Bus to Durres
Bus to Tirana Airport
Tirana - Luton

Absolute graveyard flights, late night with WizzAir but wanted to do it for as little as possible. Hand luggage only was 40 quid to Skopje and 20 quid back from Tirana.

If you’ve got a flight on Monday I’d prepare for a cancellation/delay

In a mark of respect the Royal Household has told airlines to restrict flights, looks like up to 50 percent.

What a mark of respect, im sure those stranded overseas will be delighted.

That's pretty shit.

It’s actually pretty vile

Airlines will be out of pocket
People will be out of pocket
Other companies will be out of pocket

People travelling will potential miss out on family events etc

Looks like it’s Heathrow mainly affected.

I also heard that other funerals are being cancelled on Monday. I presume this is because staff are not available, or is it something else?

Maybe Lenny Rider can update on this?

Worthing are staying open much to the relief of the 4 families we are looking after on Monday, I understand Worthing has 13 services that day, however Woodvale Crem in Brighton announced yesterday they were closing and all funerals on Monday would be postponed, which personally I think is disgusting.

My source at Brighton and Hove City Council says its Union led, re days off in lieu and double time etc.(But he would say that)

That’s awful……it’s difficult enough building yourself up for the funeral of a loved one at the best of times. Having all the arrangements postponed must be horrendous for some.

Bang on Dazzer, I know none of us knew her personally but I'm sure wherever she is now the Queen will be mortified that countless of bereaved families were caused even more upset because of her.
