Well done Turkey, well done CKR. I don't buy all this shit that he never tried for us, this seems to have become a more popular attitude on here as the years go by since his sale. He had a great game and didn't look out of his depth at all against a decent player in Lahm (who was incidentally shit). Germany were poor tonight, Turkey were fantastic and I was truly gutted for them at the end. How the Germans can celebrate quite so proudly is anybody's guess, I would be embarrassed to give it so much after such a shit performance.

I blame mcghee.

Yes, actually I really do blame mcghee. He was a shit manager, and a useless fat turd who couldn't do anything with prodigious talents like CKR.

Here, here that man.

What did he do ?
missed a gilt-edged chance my mum could have finished by hitting the bar.
Scooped a fluke onto the bar from which they scored.
SKIED a few crosses that Crouch on stilts couldn't have reached (thats the ones that actually stayed on the pitch)

aaaaand........?

Although entertaining the tournament has been lacking any real skill or talent! Shows how poor the current state & future of planet football is. They'll never ever be another Pele or Maradona as any natural ability is coached out of the kids!Bring back tight shorts, mullets & normal pay!

The two you have mentioned are south american, so I will just say watch out for Kaka and Messi in the 2010 World Cup.

He was one of the better players in the match

It was the semi final of the UEFA European championships, and he didn't look out of place on the pitch, and did alot more of the much more highly rated players on the pitch.

Some people are just petty minded that they can't accept that he has done well in this tourno and since leaving us because he is a player that we sold because he couldn't get along with an ex manager (whoever was at fault)

And all this rubbish about not wanting to play for the club - if it were true, why did he sign for us in the first place, surely as he was highly thought of by other clubs while stay at Bury, he could have stayed there and awaited his big move instead of joining us?

Latest news is that despite eveything CKR might leave Fenerbahce. Rumnour has it that CKR is very much a manager's player... i.e. CKR loves working with Zico and Terim.. (ergo didnt like McGhee and Warnock so was a wanker) however both have left their clubs and CKR is no longer happy... and we all know what that means.....

" a useless fat turd "

This shows its not about reason but a personal attack based on no rationale whatsoever. It must really annoy you he has done so well since leaving us.

It annoys me that both of the indviduals in question have done so well since they left Brighton. Maybe it's us....

Did anyone else notice Richards Richards going down like a girl when the Germans scored thier 3rd holding his thigh? Must be all that running he did - His body wasn't used to it.

As for the Germans, they looked awful last night. In fact they looked like England. With one crucial difference. They played shit and won.

One thing that occurred to me last night, was why does Motson insist on calling CKR by his full name, when all other players are addressed by their surname?

Whats that all about?

Very good point this. Surely any fitness trainer in the world could have told him that when you're new to running, you have to take it easy at first. Sort it out Fatih.

Absolutely right. No other football team in the world would dream of celebrating reaching the final of a massive international tournament by scoring a fabulous winning goal in the 90th minute. :lolol:

I've always been petty-minded. You wouldn't believe some of the irrational hatreds I have. But anyway, this is how CKR seems to get by. It defines his career. He wasn't anything special last night, yet he's talked up by some as though he was brilliant. I don't geddit. The best thing I could say about his performance last night was that during the 1st half he was at least INVOLVED in the game. He completely disappeared in the 2nd.

As for his move from Bury - the guy is an opportunist. We were two divisions above Bury, so in those terms it was a "big" move for him because it got him out fo the arse-end of the League. But he never made any pretence that we were anything more than a stepping stone. What grates is that he didn't even upt the legwork in at the Albion to EARN a move to a bigger club yet it all seems to get handed to him anyway. He's a complete fraud, and must be one of the luckiest players ever to have pulled on a pair of boots.

Did anyone tell you how biased you are...... ;)

Frequently

He should have had a penno too, when Lawro and Motson were busy saying how easy he went down, after his shirt had quite obviously been pulled in the box.

He played well but there were better players in the Turk side, including that geezer on the left who I thought was TERRIFIC.
