Firstly; wages.

Secondly; christ I hope not.

Back in the far mists of time, Heskey was a potent attacking threat, a player to be feared by defenders across the land. Unfortunately, since those heady halycon days, he's become a player more attuned to being a threat in the box, namely by standing still and allowing wingers to punt the ball in off his face. If we signed him for something reasonable (pay-as-you-play?) then maybe, otherwise I'd hope Gus would take a gamble on a promising youngster.

If he signs for a Championship club, they'll stand a bloody good shot of going up. He will be amazing at this level.

what about jon stead brizzle shitty 6"3, brizzle money issues, he has prem exp, should not cost that much as 29. i think would be tempted by promotion push rather than relegation fight?

A very good player in his prime, the only thing he would add to our team is weight also his injury record is not good and would hardly improve at his age.

John Carew is the man we should be looking at. If West Ham go up surely Carew will be surplus to requirements. Hasn't been overplayed this season, probably more due to West Hams style of play and the other strikers they have, then down to Carew himself.

we NEED that weight and height desperately - him plus CMS = maybe, just maybe the dream team (although many training ground accuracy drills next season hopefully!!)

as for injury record - Gus is a gambler and it paid off with Vicente , hopefully the same will do.

I wouldn't complain at this at all.

Would be ideal, also if we signed him it could be influencial I Vicente staying, seeing as they played together at Valencia !

No way we couldn't play him up front with Owen and Zamora, could we?
