This 'hatred' stuff is childish, pathetic nonsense.

What were we supposed to do at Hereford - let them win?

What were United supposed to do at Wembley - let us win?

If we had been relegated at Hereford, why on earth would it have been Hereford's fault? I can think of three gentlemen whose actions in the boardroom led to our being so awful that season, and they are far more deserving of hatred than an oppostion team who were simply doing their job.

Grow up hate-mongers.

f***ing spot on.

What did hereford expect us to do that day? let them win coz we felt sorry for them? they went down coz they wernt good enough to stay up. they got revenge on us the following season.

I expect them to want to beat us quite badly yes, And I dont blame them for feeling some anamocity. But to be one of their most hated teams coz of a game which ended 1-1, 10 1/2 years ago which ment they went down, is quite truly pathetic.

Like the number of fans they wil bring tomorrow.

Taken from Brighton Vs Hereford - The Football Forum - More Than Just A Game

"I hope Hereford wipe the floor with those dirty rotten scumbags.

Brighton should've gone down in 1997, their fans still think today that attacking an oppositions players and performing pitch invasions are the correct things to do in football.

They are all spineless human beings, they will not apologise for their behaviour because they don't have the balls to admit they're wrong. Cowards, all of them."

Sounds like someone is still bitter about that fateful day 11 years ago:lolol:

As much as they sound like sad bitter idiots, I have to say that the behaviour of those handful of fans who ran on to attack the Orient players that day in 1997 was probably the most shameful act in Brighton's 107 year history.

I hope that those involved realise that they did more to damage our fight against Archer and Bellotti and the media misunderstanding of our plight than anyone in the country. Shame on you if you are reading this and I hope you can sleep at night.

How important was that York pitch invasion in highlighting our plight to the media and country as a whole? I don't condone it but that pitch invasion even made it on to CNN world news.
