everyone involved should be very proud of themselves

The only ones that could actually sing (with any credence) were Lambert, Bocelli and Ross.

The rest was complete dross, and shameful if that's the best we have to offer, given a 70 year reign.

Great marmalade sarnie bit, though.

Well that an evening of my life I won’t ever get back - most of those artists are well well past their sell by dates and can longer sing.

I'm assuming Elbow didn't play 'Leaders Of The Free World' for their turn.

I'd rather hear her 'not' singing live, than 90% of the rest that did. Bloody awful most of them, and Craig 'Mr.Smug' David had no place anywhere near there.
Seriously, do any of you think that's the best we have to offer....really?

With all the resources available, genuinely great acts out there and a penchant for bigging-up Britain, I thought it was bloody poor, overall.
Some parts of it were worse than BGT out-takes.
Queenie and Paddington were great, though.
Says it all, really.

I could have suggested substitutes for 95% of the acts. And a yank headliner was a misstep. Nevertheless, I thought it rather enjoyable.

Seeing those tens of thousands of people lining the Mall and at the palace made me think of lockdown and just how alien and utterly unthinkable that would have seemed just 18 months ago.

Incredible really.
