You point back to the original decision stopping the usage becoming residential. And then when the offices conveniently can't be filled and the application comes in to convert them for residential use?
You just know the ultimate end game is residential use. These ****s are nothing if not persistentYou point back to the original decision stopping the usage becoming residential.
I get the argument that there is a risk the protection could be chipped away in the future, but don’t see the rationale as to why residential would be allowed and any subsequent noise complaints warranted based on the planning history that has been set out already?
we dont really know that. You just know the ultimate end game is residential use. These ****s are nothing if not persistent
Post #140 spells out the game planwe dont really know that.
maybe we should just leave the hulk of the old yard there until it collapses and takes down half the Albert?
This looks like a positive result. Much better than a block of flats. The music can go on and the owners of the property don't lose out either.
Plus a big ugly block of offices next to an old pub.
Just spent a very pleasant afternoon in the Albert supping Estrella Galicia in the snug and sheltering from a downpour. Mood dampened by breaking news that the vile grasping ****s next door get to do their shitty little property development despite universal opposition by the community. Anyone else smell fish? ****s
And then when the offices conveniently can't be filled and the application comes in to convert them for residential use?
Just their end game - which is residential developmentNo. I can't see what the problem is with the development?
Because the current building is so attractive
Can’t rule it out, sadly there’s often an agenda. You just know the ultimate end game is residential use. These ****s are nothing if not persistent
FFS no wonder we can’t get anything built in this ****ing country! You just know the ultimate end game is residential use. These ****s are nothing if not persistent
Just their end game - which is residential development
Trainee soap dodgerI went on Google Street View to remind myself how minging the current building is, but I got distracted when I found a child who clocked the Google vehicle, and then ran after it giving it the finger. Ha ha!View attachment 195831
They've already had about three cracks at trying to make it residential use. They'll try again. Or sell the site on to somebody with more muscle to make it happenFFS no wonder we can’t get anything built in this ****ing country!
Why does there always have to be a conspiracy theory?
The designs of the offices don’t lend themselves to residential use. The cost of conversion would be astronomical. It’s not going to happen!
Maybe you need a history lessonSays who?
have they? just been looking up on planning and there's 3 applications: the original build a 4 storey commercial, create a food market and amendment to that. They've already had about three cracks at trying to make it residential use. They'll try again. Or sell the site on to somebody with more muscle to make it happen
All the restrictions are on the proposed business premises next door.Just as long as there are no new restrictions on the venue, ever, I’m not angry about this. For now, is that the case?
