They are hardly likely to suspend Jonathan Ross when they pay him millions a year. I'd have thought Russell Brand was a bit more expendable. The Robbie Savage of comedy.

The BBC are completely hypocritical, showing programmes like Little Britain, and 'apologising' for Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand and what Hart did was much less worse yet he gets biggest punishment.

Just goes to show the over zealous "we must be PC" attitude from the BBC.

Offensive comments such as Brands seem to be acceptable and only need a half arsed apology.

Politically incorrect comments such as the inference of "window licker" demands sackings. Its thoroughly ridiculous and I think NSC joint letters to the Director General highlighting the inconsistancy.

For anyone that hasnt actually read it here is the actual transcript of Brand and Ross so you can make your minds up with facts rather than usual heresay.

Anyone who takes the rise out of ANY member of Fawlty Towers cast member, deserves to be punished.

Andrew Sachs is a lovely man, having seen many interviews with him, I don't think you could wish to meet a more quiet and gentle soul.

For two loud-mouthed ego monsters to take the piss out of him is frankly disgusting. Andrew Sachs has more talent in his left finger than that prick Russell Brand!

Always thought that Russel Brand was a first class TWAT, and this confirms it.

Well i watched and it is PATHETIC ! Call this comedy ? Andrew Sachs deserves a full apology and if Brand was just one tenth as good as Sachs in comedy then he will have done well.

Apart from 12(?) episodes of Fawlty Towers, where if you really want to get all PC about things, he played a racist version of a thick Spanish waiter, what else has he been in?

they were obviously doing it for comedic effect, unfortunately for them it was about as funny as the holocaust

Yes thats right, two blokes ringing up Manuel of Faulty Towers and telling him one of them had shagged his Grand-daughter is just as bad as the killing of thousands of innocent Jews including women and children.

People draw their own lines of where bad taste starts - and if part of your humour is in shocking people it is inevitable you are going to cross someones line.

To me this all looks a bit sad. Was Jonathon Ross trying to show that he can still get down with the kids ? Just stick to the film reviews.

i didn't say it was as BAD as the holocaust did i? i said it was ABOUT as FUNNY as the holocaust

ie. it possesses 0 funny points

and my issue isn't that its 'offensive' because really apart from sachs and his granddaughter, and maybe their family and that, no-one should really be offended, it's just pretty poor comedy

I found it offensive - and it simply was not funny. So what if Brand has shagged his grand-daughter. That is between them. But no grand-parent is interested or wants to hear that about their grand-daughter. How is that funny ?

Will Jonathon Ross be laughing when his daugters intimate private lives become part of someone else's comedy routine for a few laughs. I doubt it.
