We have had a great season, better than most expected but the Premier Leaguer or play offs would have been a step too far too soon. I cant wait for the summer to see what changes to the playing staff he makes and then to next season and another challenge.

A rather simplistic view of the world you have there. We can all make stats show whatever we want but the only worthwhile stat is where we sit after 46 games which could be as high as 7th - if you think that's a f*** up then I hope you're judged by your own ridiculously high stands in your job.

FWIW, I challenge Gus' methods, tactics and approaches at different times on different issues. Thankfully, using reason, logic and thought, I come up with a totally different set of results than your overly-facile shallow approach.

Still, your ignorance does provide cracking entertainment. Carry on.

I thought this was a forum for peoples opinons. But if you have one that differs from some others you get shot down in flames by a bunch of internet bullyboys.Gus is arrogant,rude,and out of control..he will walk soon before his self proclaimed genuis, takes more of a battering and his stock falls.....have a good laugh at that,,,,then be man enough to bounce it sometime before August.

Exactly Right! some proper twats on here lately.

What a great season we have had. After an eternity in League One we get back into the Championship, with a side with some clear weaknesses, GK, Strength in midfield and an out and out goalscorer, full backs etc etc. I would've taken 4th from bottom. Hopefully next season, with some additions we will have a side who can challenge. This is a team most of whom have never played at this level, we also sold our best player in the summer remember, some of them were bound to come up short. Poyet needs and deserves some time to build a side for this division, we should have a bigger budget next season, I for one cannot wait for it to start...

They do realise to have 'thrown away' a playoff position, Gus had to get us INTO a playoff position in the first place? After being promoted. After saving us from relegation to the division CRAWLEY are currently in.

Is this the same Curbishley who thinks he is too good a manager for the Championship but has been turned down for jobs by numerous Premier League Chairmen. I would think that TB is well pleased with what Gus has achieved so far, in fact in the toilets last night somebody was saying Tim Humphreys from Radio Sussex had told him that CMS is leaving in the summer and that TB has given Gus a virtually open cheque book for signing new players. Not sure that I believe all of that but I think TB is well pleased with progress so far.

How can you say Gus has thrown away the playoffs. I thought it was pretty amazing to be even challenging for such a position this season. I said at the start I was happy with 12th and we may yet beat that so I am very pleased. As for next season lets see shall we ...
