He was great.

Without over-reacting, he strongly indicated that the goal finishing (lack of) issue, has now come to a head.

And that the squad quality must move up a level, to be able to incentivise Bruno to stay.

I see a quality finisher joining the club in January. 5 months too late, but better late than never.

Yeah I got that impression too, sounded like a bit of a guarded threat to Bloom as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see funds released for a decent striker in the new year.

We should go for Charlie Austin, out of contract shortly so should be cheaper than other options and proven scorer

John Byrne couldn't believe CMS hadn't buried his chance. So it's not just a Barnes issue.

TB - please get a striker in to improve the squad, and make the most of the quality from Buckley, Orlandi, Bruno & Co.

Good shout! but can imagine plenty of attractive offers on the table for Charlie.

Agreed with every word Gus said. He stated that he picks the team and they are set up to win but he cannot take the penalties or tap the ball in from 3 yards. Not much more that Gus can do at the moment.

There will be offers but I doubt Premiership ones, Gus needs to sell the vision like he has to other players

Perhaps he should address his own weaknesses as a manager, manifested today in taking off a striker, and replacing him with a defensive midfielder, thus putting the team on the back foot, and moving the majority of the play forty yards closer to our goal

Is this taking off a striker who missed a penalty and two sitters?

We should have been at least 4-0 up by then, not Gus' fault that players are not putting the ball in the net. I also think that 99% of managers in the football league would do the same whilst defending a 1-0 lead.
