Don't know how to link it, but pretty strong stuff, he was very angry, the angriest I have heard.

He accused the team of lacking bravery several times - and also used (again) the line of saying "If we can't pass it, I'll go home."

Not sure that's what the team needs to hear at the moment. I'd rather hear him say "If they can't do it, they're dropped."

He also said we have a budget of practically nothing. Maybe we've spent it all, but we have spent loads more than several Championship clubs over the summer.

He cant blame the squad he also has to look at what he is asking them to do and their natural ability to do it at this level.

I wonder if thats a suttle hint to Bloom, either that or to warn agents off trying to milk us in Jan?

That going home line is wearing a bit thin.

You can't keep saying that - it sounds like he doesn't want to be here really and if he feels that way its not fair on the club

He's a man of strong opinions, he's got to make the right decisions this week. Not only how he treats these players (shouting or softly comforting, looking at the positives) but who to select on Sunday. I think we need to go for an attack minded style.

I did not hear the interveiw , but if Gus wants to take the credit when we are winning, he must also take the blame when we are losing, it`s his team and his way that we are playing.Saying that we must trust in Gus all will come good.

he is right though. the players weren't brave enough to play football tonight. they were scared of losing the ball in defence/midfield and so humped it forward much more than i have ever seen this team do.

I'm not one to criticise the manager...I believe Gus knows what he's doing, but I think perhaps he's trying things above the level the players we have are capable of. Technically, the players are not good enough to play 'tika-taka' game-to-game, only sporadically.

That said, the 'retired' Tano ended up playing a fair chunk of the game...if anyone should be able to 'gee up' the players and get the team playing the style the management want, surely he should have been able to give them an on-pitch b**llocking and kick them into shape?!

I wonder if Bridcutt going off early contributed towards that. The number of times he collects the ball from the defence and touches the ball in a match is very high, more than virtually any other player in the country I reckon.

Great ...

Getting a bit annoying now! Heading back too old ways! We need to step up. If any of us on here we're getting paid as much as some of those players - Guarantee we could put more in the net than them at times!!!! Just got to look at it this way - we're still in the championship, as long as we can stay up. Its a good result!

Time is the important factor! He knows some cannot compete at this level but he cant bring in 11 players tomorrow morning. Im convinced that when we do get players fully fit we'll be fine.

I tend to agree with that. We know from day one Buckley is a matchwinner, but we just haven't had him. The problem comes if while we're waiting for all our players to come back, we lose so many games that the players do what Gus has accused them of tonight, losing faith in their ability to play his way and hoofing it. After which things can only get worse, because that's not our style.

i think without Bridcutt and Dicker - that's our consistent midfield gone in one game. we never really got any lick from defence to midfield - just greer/harper hoofing it forward - very unbrightonesque
