what harm could it do.

Although wages might be best spent on other positions.

I reckon he could still notch a few off the bench.
Certainly more threatening than Holroyd or Hart.
Maybe Holroyd will be loaned out if Kuqi comes in? Surely he won't stay here as 5th choice striker?

based on this season so far, i reckon he'd be more threatening than barnes also

If there is any truth in it (which I doubt) then I'd be quite pleased. Certainly another addition and extra competition upfront can't be a bad thing.

Probably! Then again, I don't see why they would print it if it was bullshit.. It's barely a massive story that's going to sell papers is it?!
It literally says:
"Brighton boss Gus Poyet wants to sign Swansea striker Shefki Kuqi, 33, when the loan window re-opens next week"
and that is it..

Hang on, is this old news which has been rendered useless as we got the Spaniard instead? He was going to Swansea which would have freed up Kuqi to then come to us but as they didn't get the Spaniard, we did, he won't be freed as they didn't get their Spaniard, we did.

I know nothing but that's how I saw it.

From what I saw last night he's needed badly. Those Orient defenders would have had a lot more to do with him barging in at them that's for sure.

He's not the most elegant or quick footed player but at L1 level would sore 15+ goals a season IMO.

100% agree.
Last night again, for me, proved that Barnes is'nt good enough to start. People can argue all they like, but im entitled to an opinion. Murray creates chances for Barnes, but i honestly dont think Barnes creates anything for Murray. If Barnes is a player who feeds off Murray, well he needs to be clinical, and too many occasions i've seen him he hasnt been.
If we got Kuqi, it would be great competition for places, and he's the sort of player (from what i've seen) who causes defences problems with his power. Get the wages fairly low and he'd be a great signing, got 14 goals in 17 in the German 2nd div last season, which is a level equivalent to league 1 easily.
