Just because Barnes gives 110% every game doesn't mean he's good enough and should start. He had two clear chances on goal against Orient and failed to do anything from them. I've never been very confident on him in all honesty. He is a very average striker in this league.

Ashley Barnes is good enough, as shown with his 5 goals in 12 proper league appearances, of which 4 were substitute appearances. Therefore all statements of him not being good enough are surely incorrect, and the 100% post was in rebuke to the statement that he is slacking.

He's 21, so that automatically is an excuse for him playing poorly is it?? The fact he's young does not mean he should be given extra chances, yes he's got loads of promise, but IMO (which is what this board is for!) he's not good enough to start for a play off chasing side. From the 3 games i've seen this season, he SHOULD, not could, have had 5 or 6 goals, he has 1.
