As an aside.

Could someone with no membership to club at all turn up at ticket office and buy a ticket for todays game?
No. Tickets are sold online only I think

There are approx 700 tickets available for todays game inc two of mine which I would have given to work colleague/ friend or sons friend.
Unless they sell soon, which I doubt, seats will be empty as will many others in same boat.
If I was 1901 I could give them to anyone at the push of a button.

You like many others are happy with situation.....I like some am not.
Buy this phone:

You don’t need a sim card in it. Connect it to your home wifi. Log in with a Google account (create one if you need to) and put your season ticket on it. You can pass it to whoever needs to use it.

Costs same as paying to share ticket for season and paying for someone else’s MyA+.

You are forgetting that it's now a requirement that clubs know who is attending. Hence the process that's in place - not just the Albion, but other clubs too.

Anyway, as usual we all just go round and round in circles on this one ... so I'm out.
Nah that’s fine - I’m happy to have civilised debate even if we dont agree mate. Again, why is that now a ‘requirement’ - club rules I guess?

The club also has to follow Premier League rules. These changed just last summer, apparently.

Gonna take a stab in a dark here and suggest you're not across these.
Yeh prob not then. Is this the named ticket thing? Point still stands, even if it’s a moan about the greed of the league now - it’s pointless and silly…

Fine if the actual season ticket holder is prepared to take the risk - albeit a very small one - that the club don’t suspect and do an ID check. But if they did the season ticket holder would loose that season ticket and no doubt get a ban. Worth it when there are legit ways of sharing??

To those who think ticketing is all good . Went in 1901 with a freebie from commander who had put his ticket on exchange @ £90. No chance of selling so gave it away. If he was allowed and put his ticket up for lesser amount say £45 ....it might sell. Five in a row empty seats in front of us.

Many empty seats around ground. With a more flexible approach ground would be fuller.

Lots of no shows near us, giving a great view of the pitch.

im not sure many think its 100% perfect, but it is nowhere near as bad as some would believe. take the OP for example. wrong on every point he was querying, There seems to be an assumption from some that its crap before actually taking the 5 mins to find out what the actual situation is

It was a sell-out though. That’s the club’s priority.

Do you think ticket sales would increase if people could state their resale price, or do you think hundreds of fans would be hanging around outside the Amex 5 minutes before ko for a bargain? Face it mate, we are in the big league!!

PS - surely there’s an informal network amongst 1901ers where tickets can be passed on…… for a drink😉

Not much. Loads of inertia about - people simply don’t bother to share them or put them on the exchange. No idea why, it’s very easy to do and they’re chucking money away but I know several that just can’t be arsed. it not about the money (for them)

Gaps pretty much everywhere yesterday but from the North shelf it was pretty easy to I’d guess 30-40 1901 empty seats,
Don’t recall seeing it being that empty before

Majority doesn`t include me.. I`m more radical than you.....
When Amex opened we as family had three tickets however they were all in my name numbered 1,2,3.
anyone could use them. Presumably as 1901 are now.
Would it be that awfull to go back to that system ???
No signing up to anything needed !!
Too simple I suppose !! ...may have to make a couple of ticket officers redundant
To receive a discount for committing to an entire season of games, to then hand out this discounted ticket to your friends and family, isn’t fair on others though. I think the club have got it right when it comes to STs.

First rule of 1901 Club is to tell everyone repeatedly you’re in the 1901 Club. You have passed the test, welcome!

Whilst I appreciated the freebie in 1901.
My W1C ticket in Zone D seat 70 costs me £590 whereas next seat 71 is Zone E where ticket would cost me £965 as E doesn`t get OAP discount.. My seat is better view than Gold 1901 as good as platinum and nearly as good as platinum + which costs four times as much as mine.

Ps as local was lucky to be invited in first tranche to get seats in new stadium.
