He's not Jimmy Saville, he's a lad and he likes banter. If they didn't like what they were hearing when working with Greg then they should have spoken to him at the time to stop it, as it was causing them distress.

The allegations that he has crossed those lines is no surprise, in a world where social boundaries have changed.

It would appear that after his weight related Road to Damascus moment, his reduced body size and suddenly fashion conscious persona seems to have adopted a look at me celeb approach.....combined with his barrow boy, cheeky chappy banter, he obviously thinks he is a desirable option for the ladies he works around.... sleazy is what most would call it.

He is unlikely to feature on mainstream viewings again.

You do realise that using ‘woke’ isn't a defence. Lads and banter in a fruit and veg market is one thing, on a TV show it’s quite another.

Wark, who is best known for hosting BBC Newsnight, told BBC News that on two occasions, during early morning filming, Wallace told stories and jokes of a "sexualised nature" in front of contestants and crew.

She said she feels strongly that the comments were "really, really in the wrong place".

Let's say you are a young runner on a show and the PRESENTER of the show is making these comments, of course you are going to think "is this worth risking my job to go make a complaint I probably can't prove about arguably the person with all the power in this situation" .

It's why these things come out with many people at once. Loads of isolated cases where people don't feel they have a voice but, collectively, it shows they were legitimate in their concerns.

I'm AMAZED people still don't get it after years of these things, albeit much more serious allegations

Also, it's very easy to judge when you're not the person on the receiving end of such 'banter'. If someone says they felt uncomfortable or offended, that's their right, which should be respected. It's funny that a lot of the 'free speech' brigade get offended by stuff like this – and yet take MASSIVE issue with a company changing its logo or embracing DEI policies.

I'm sure he'll 'survive' physically, but I'm guessing you meant you hope he doesn't get 'cancelled' as people like to say?
And you're saying whatever he's done – even if he's physically assaulted someone and let them scarred for life – you'll still be a fan? Amazing...

While working in Paddington, I spotted Gregg-with-three-Gs in The Union bar at Sheldon Square. It was just after the lunchtime rush, and he was sitting at a table alone near the door. Whenever a patron came in, he looked up, seemingly desperate for attention. Upon receiving none for a good 15 minutes, he departed with a sulky look on his egg-shaped face.

I also encountered Bill Bailey paddle boarding on the canal.

Which was nice.

He’s 60, so spent most of the 80’s at Covent Garden which at the time was almost exclusively male. Trying to take that ’banter’ and applying it when working on a tv show some 40 years later isn’t acceptable, it’s just stupid. FWIW, I enjoy watching Masterchef.
