Oh well, as usual I feel like the contrarian on NSC. I know a lot of people seem to dislike him, usually not explaining why, but I don’t mind him. Working class white bloke makes good. Always a target. His role on Masterchef is enthusiastic Everyman, there to ask the dumb questions that ordinary people want asked. I hope he survives this, whatever it is. I seem to be the only person who has no inkling of the allegations.

If you believe that sort of stuff you’ll believe anything. Anything remotely like that on tape would have seen him sacked. The idea that someone with that public profile and a great career to lose, would behave like that in front of dozens of production staff and TV cameras, is absolutely insane.

If he is rumoured to have told sexualised jokes then so fxxkin what? Until there is meat on the bones of any accusations then this kind of stuff should be treated with contempt. That is not a licence to ignore real sensible concerns about people doing wrong, but an attempt to erase the bullshit atmosphere that seems to pervade many aspects of life now.

If we stop people of either sex making passes at each other then we can just watch the human race die out. Maybe that would be the best outcome, as the species is getting so far up it’s own arse it has become incapable of rational thought.

Agree and I hate the fact that he (and many others in similar situations) are assumed guilty by the media and social media (inc some on here) without any actual evidence. That’s what the courts are for.
