More people left Britain this weekend than entered the country. The whole thing cost a fortune, and all for a family of parasites who sponge off us tax payers.

Chavvy spongers are scum, royal spongers are ok it seems

Your family really do have a chip on your shoulders about the Royals don't you?

It's been a great occasion and a fantastic weekend. The concert was the crowning glory last night. :clap2:
Eh? A load of manufactured pop stars, reality show contestants and over-the-hill has-beens. It was an embarrassment.

Fantastic bit of advertising for the country, tourists will come in their droves again like last year. You cannot take the monarchy away, it's past of our national identity and heritage.

What a fantastic royal weekend. I love my Queen and I love the Royal Family.

Very proud to be a part of this fantastic country.

and of course that was the Royal Family's fault...

also, no disrespect but, you must know pretty much nothing about music to say that the likes of Elton John, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Jools Holland, Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox are has beens?

"Lots of families leave the country at the start of the Summer half-term school holiday" shocker.

Do you have any other genius revelations?

I was simply responding to the absolute NONSENSE that the royals bring in millions. If they're such a great pull, surely all us Brits would want to be in the country for such a monumental occasion?

The reasons I find the royal family so distasteful are long. I find the whole pomp and outright wealth that's been handed down for centuries out of date in modern Britain. I also find the fact that the Royal Family own the SEABED a disgrace - meaning we pay them rent for the pier for example. Ridiculous. A couple of things that I know about (and I don't spend time looking into this):

Any genius revelations that you can share that can change my mind? I'm all ears

You are upset that the Royals own the SEABED?? Really? Who do you propose should own it?

Erm. No one. Why should anyone own the seabed? Why should the Royal Family earn £38m a year from an offshore wind farm? Why should every town in this country with a pier pay the Royal Family to rent the seabed? Seriously, WTF.

Somebody has to own it! You cant just say nobody owns it, people would be laying claims to areas of the seabed all over the place. And if the electric companies can't afford £38m a year rent, they wouldn't build the wind farms in the first place.

When I say no one, I mean you and I should own it - the money should go to the government purse. Why should the royals get that money?

Ahm.... The money goes to pay for the upkeep of crown estates, i.e houses and property own by the crown, (not to be confused with the monarch/head of state and their families) which is separate corporation in charge of the assets belonging to the crown, not privately owned property which is owned by the Windsors. Any money that is remaining goes to HM revenues and custom i.e the taxman.

Maybe do some research next time before throwing out some bizarre claims?!?

Your comment is nonsense. The royals bring in millions each year as a major tourist attraction. Without them we would loose millions of pounds worth of inflows, mainly from Asia and the US.

To be honest I'd rather the Royals had it, there are all sorts of arguments about how much value they have to the country but you can be sure that they bring in a fair lump.

The liars from the commons though contribute absolutely nothing and if they were handed £38m from an electric supplier they'd probably spend it on deciding what colour lamp shades to buy.

Are you aware of quite how much money the royal family directly and voluntarily pay into UK PLC each and every year?

Beyond that, their worth to this nation, in terms of the £££s that tourists spend here because they are here is massive.

I can see it irks you though - have you considered upping sticks and living somewhere else far away? Australia maybe?
