Perhaps our boys could be made to wear ear pieces during training with fake crowd noise piped through so they can get used to it. There'd be a low level anxious grumble setting, an inappropriate "shoot" setting, a spiteful "don't shoot!" setting, a loud, angry "aagghh FFS" setting, and of course a classic "boooooo!" setting. Actually, I think I've had quite a good idea!

To March. Each person passing it on because there might be a better chance if they make one more pass.

Suddenly our inability to score makes sense.

But also, if you break quickly and directly and the pass is forwards then you should have plenty of space to shoot in. If you let the opposition back into shape with a ponderous transition of your own then of course you're going to need to shift it sideways five yards ad infinitum.

I see some fans are already jumping on him for saying something that the reporter appears to have made up for the headline.

I read it as it’s tough when the players hear the fans shouting “shoot” that’s all. Nowhere is he telling the fans to stop doing it. He’s not a moron and it seems he understands why the fans are doing it.

I’m off to dig out a couple of pieces of wood, a hammer and some nails though

Obviously its his philosophy. If you shoot 20 shots from a position where you statistically have a 0.05 chance of scoring then you are less likely to score than if you shoot 5 shots from areas where you statistically have a 0.25 chance of scoring. I wish I could give you a recent example where most of the shots where taken in hopeless situatons and a team failed to score but I cant seem to remember any...

This thread quite clearly shows the difference in what GP and what NSC wants Brighton to be.

GP wants Brighton to play a similar football as Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham. Most Northstandchatters wants Brighton to play like Newcastle, Burnley, Everton and Watford.
