how did this go anyone? my seat is in west upper near away so obviously couldn't hear you above all the idiots with that ner ner ner ner ner ner ner, (thats my way of describing their 'humming' along to the song) did my best to belt out the words but could barely hear the music above the humming around me. Anyway did it even start to catch on??

The recording played at the AMEX is in the wrong key for singing properly. It needs transposing.

I was just looking for this thread for a bounce, A sticky wouldn't be a bad idea if it was do-able mods?

Everyone who didn't know the words inside out learnt them yet?

‎1st verse
Now is the time for marching, Now let your hearts be gay
Hark to the merry bugles Sounding along our way.
So let your voices ring my boys, And take the time from me
And I’ll sing you a song as we march along
Of Sussex by the Sea

2nd verse
For we're the men from Sussex, Sussex by the Sea
We plough and sow and reap and mow
And useful men are we
And when you go to Sussex, Whoever you may be
You may tell them all that we stand or fall
For Sussex by the Sea

Good old Sussex by the Sea
Good old Sussex by the Sea
Oh we're going up
And we'll win the Cup
For Sussex by the Sea!

Good old Sussex by the Sea
Good old Sussex by the Sea
Oh we're going up
And we'll win the Cup
For Sussex by the Sea!

Good work. Keep banging the drum for this (not literally of course!).

Any feedback from the club yet on sorting out the dog's dinner pre-match at The AMEX...?

I didn't pass on the message to the mate early enough for him to get it to the club, Emailed him today and will keep you up dated on this thread. I've mentioned the big screen and programme etc has anyone got the version of the audio they'd like to use?

Sorry if an earlier post picked this up but to save people remembering a lyric,
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

1st, 2nd 3rd verse simply go der der der der in some form of melody. Then bring to crescendo when you remember one line which forgetting the first word is the title of the song.

This is the one song we have that nobody else can ever have. (OK Crawley but they would mis-pronounce der).

Please learnt it and sing it.

There are a few phones/cameras available that have a projector built in.

Not sure how big they go, but if the club won't put the words up on the screen, could someone project them onto the wall next to the screen?

Printed off the lyrics for my daughters. They have been told to learn them ready for Sunday (No more der der der ). Its going quite well too.

Have the first verse sorted, 2nd is on its way, although seeing as they only play the one verse before the chorus not sure they need the 2nd.

World war 1 soldier on big screen ....that would lead nicely into the opening of the AMEX montage at the begining of ever game which starts with the Poppy feilds

Are the club doing anything for Sunday ? This is the nearest date to Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday for a home game.

Thanks for that, I've now added the correct music and lyrics together to help those learning the lyrics.

The end chorus sounds better sung slower and its just how we used to sing it in the old days before it got speeded up
