Just a nicely timed THANK YOU to all those who joined in! Was very good for the first effort in a long while!

You can all pat yourself on the back.

Sounds good. Out of interest, what have you tried so far in terms of getting through to anyone at the club about this? I think "they" including the big bosses should be BOMBARDED until a satisfactory response is received.

They obviously do give it some thought as they have played around with the version of SBTS played at The AMEX in order to try and facilitate the crowd singing along... BUT they haven't got it right and need to go back to the drawing board.

Nothing short of all 3 stands belting out the version you have set down, in time, with the last bit unaccompanied can be regarded as acceptable.

WE know how to do it... It could hardly be more simple....

Play the SBTS music louder for a few weeks and also put the words on the screens during that time. Once people have got it then the volume can go down a bit again and, if desired, the words left off the screens.

Who do we need to write to / e-mail to get somewhere with this...? I'm going to be like Andy Dufresne trying to get his library books and send one letter a week. If they get get ignored I'll start sending two.

Thanks for that. "Dear Sir/Madam" to that address is definitely Option 1 but what about trying to target named individuals within the club who would be key to influencing this decision? Does you know who are the key decision makers and whether a letter addressed directly to them would reach them...?

I think Richard Reynolds would be the key guy, He is the one who puts all the music and stuff and does the timings. At least that's the impression I got at the fan meeting way back when GOSBTS was discussed.

That's good, and I'm generally in favour of the "organic" approach, but without support from the club we will never see 3 stands at The AMEX belting it out properly together.

It will be frustrating if this campaign to sing SBTS properly at the start of each home match gets muddled up with all the other threads on here about singing.

I'm really hoping that this finally happens. However, I am somewhat appalled that a lyric sheet needs handing out FOR OUR OWN SONG.

To confirm
• Sing slower - there really is no rush
• Sing WITHOUT clapping (West Ham's 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles' is a classic example of how to do it)
• Sing with pride
• Do it right, and this fat bloke from the WSU will join in. It ain't over till then.

There won't be a dry eye in the house after this, and the 'ner, ner, ne-ner, ner, neeeer, ner' will find its rightful place in the dustbin of history.

Ive looked through and couldnt see it mentioned but apologies if fixtures, I actualy perfer the "we tell them all we stand and fall for Sussex by the sea" better than the "going up we'll win.." etc, think if we pull the song off with all the lyrics at The AMEX it will sound amazing
