I have played cricket just about everywhere in God's own county, and NO-WHERE is colder and windier than Seaford.*

*East Brighton Park is a close second]
Possibly true. A friend of mine's ex always complained about the wind (and not in the flatuelence way either). Makes Seaford all that more exclusive. Much nicer than Hove, don't you know.

do you like Southwick in all seriousness
Its ok. I don\'t think its as bad as you;re making out. Most town centres have an element of chavdom about them nowadays, Southwick certainly isn;t unique in that.

You;ve got a lovely sized green there surrounded by nice properties. A decent and convenient selection of shops considering the size of the place. The Cricks is quite nice to sit outside, good suntrap in the afternoon. Another nice tree-lined park nearby. La Cala that I\'ve mentioned. Christ, compared with Lancing I don;t think the WICK is all that bad at all.

Dunno when the next slut-night is, theres nothing planned yet that I know of. He made a bit of a loss on the last one, but he;s mentioned doing one again maybe in a few months. They had a MALE stripper night there last Saturday.

I, however, was drinking in Hove.

Gloucester,

Much the same as glasfryn put for west Wales, except that it is almost free from the "yah" types that you find in abundance in Cheltenham, as a rugby town it is almost free from footy fans so being a follower of the Albion makes me somewhat of a curiousity. Only drawback, and it is a minor one, the nearest decent beach is bloody miles away...no nipping down to Clymping for a paddle in the sea or a bracing walk in the middle of winter.

In a pile of football shirts
Seaford,

5. History - An abundance of history in the town, including the fact it used to be a major port (hence being a Cinque Port) and has a great history of smuggling.

My local pub is in a lane called Smock Alley, which was apparently a smugglers route from the coast to London.

So, West Chiltington, the good things;

1. It's rural and quite pretty.
2. Every pub is a delightful country pub.
3. West Chiltington Golf Course is round the corner.
4. Nyetimber vinyard is next to the golf club and makes one of the best sparkling white wines in the world.
5. No-one really knows where it is, so you don't get tourists.

But, the bad things;

1. I bring the average age of residents down to below 65.
2. It's rural and quite pretty.
3. You can't get a taxi. you just can't.
4. Every pub is a delightful country pub.
5. I can't get public transport to Brighton so one of us always has to drive.

In the shadow of Seaford Head
Seaford,

1. Close to Seven Sisters Country Park and Friston Forest
2. Links to Brighton, London, and Eastbourne yet remains quite peaceful, with the downs just a stone's throw away
3. Curries - The best curry house in Sussex (Bengal Palace)
4. Beer - Ridiculous amount of licenesed (sp?) premises compared to population
5. History - An abundance of history in the town, including the fact it used to be a major port (hence being a Cinque Port) and has a great history of smuggling.
6. The views - With the Seven Sisters so close (can be viewed from the golf course) who could ask for more
7. The weather - It's always sunny. Just as Dougdeep.

I would just like to add

8. Service 12 bus. One every 10 minutes for Brighton or Eastbourne
9. Some great local shops especially Paul's Plaice for fresh fish; Trawlers for great Fish & Ships: Walbrins the butcher and JJ's the greengrocer
