How bad is that. I had it in my head it was at the Amex....that whole experience must have been more traumatic than I realised

Indeed. After the shame of the second leg, and losing out to those late late Palarse goals, and wanting to get away from the ground ASAP, I then had to suffer the ignomany of having to turn right out of the WSL, and walk right around the ground to get to the Coach Park. Then being held behind a police barrier and having to watxch & listen to all the Palarse fans celebrate.

Not my best night as an Albion fan.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
He's a professional footballer, its a career move for him, nothing more, nothing less. He's not Brighton born, he had no affiliation with the club prior to his arrival and he owed us nothing by the end of his spell. Fans need to get over the ridiculous notion that a player should actually turn down a good career move for themselves, just because it may be to a "rival" and might offend some fans. He's got his career and his family to consider, thats always going to be his priority, not a load of precious fans who see it as some kind of slant on them.
Rubbish - this is NSC - youv'e been on here long enough to know that everyone who leaves us is a treacherous ba*ta*d who should have his gonads removed without anaesthetic in front of the whole WSL, before the ritual stoning, and final burning of their shirt in front of their eyes. That's the LAW

1 yr loan how can this not be a decent signing, he's better than what we have and we don't have to flog hemed to death week free week
Despite all my protesting I genuinely don't have a problem with this scenario.

Fingers crossed the club can bring in another forward capable of leading the rotation.

Conceding a late goal at home against Burnley and at QPR were the games that cost us promotion. Even the 3rd goal at home to Middlesbro so the answer is we conceded too many goals at crucial times. Our goals for was slightly exaggerated by the large wins late in the season at home. I believe that his strength in the air would have prevented both Burnley and QPR goals that is obviously assuming he was on the pitch at the time and it is fair to make the assumption that either or both him and Hemed would have been.

we had a 46 game season...
all these ifs and buts apply to Boro or Hull or Burnley too.

why those 2 games. what about the other 15 games we drew, most of which were score draws ? Why did we concede 2 goals against Rotherham ? Or 4 against Cardiff ? Or lose against Wolves via an own goal ? or struggle against Ipswich at home ? or score 2 away at Derby and come home with a point ? or fail to beat Huddersfield away after going 1-0 up in 30 seconds ? or, or , or. Boro score in the last minute to save a point or 3 several times, or of course finishing games several times with 10 men ?
Its tempting to simplify the entire season's ultimate failure to a single factor and a single game and even a single goal.
But then just as easy to argue its another game, another player, another goal. And we'll simply never know.
So why the certainty. ?

So the lickers are getting moist around the gusset over a player we gave away 5 seasons ago?Not only that,a player we refused to pay an extra couple of quid to in January,a player who would have seen us over the line.
Couldn't make it up.
The pies are the best in the championship though.

Yes the season is 46 games long but it is only my opinion that these games were the crucial games that cost us promotion. Many games are lost in August and September and people write them off as non consequential as we have time to put them right it is only in the final analyse in May that you look back and say if only, but the game at QPR and at home to Burnley were later in the season when we couldnt afford a slip up as happened. Both games would have given 3 pts instead of 1 which would have been sufficient for our promotion and hindered Burnley. Water under the bridge that we must learn from. Obviously the loss at Rotherham was an unexpected setback.

Serious question. Do we think Bloom bows to fan pressure ? It's a bit concerning that we are potentially signing Murray, the Zamora signing last year. Does his heart rule his head ?

Surely we only sign the players the manager thinks can do the job expected and to replace BZ I think there are 2 obvious choices GM or Ricky Lambert possibly throw Peter Crouch into the mix.

No, of course he doesn't.

It is probably just that we have a slight advantage over other championship clubs in signing the players you listed ( Zamora love, Murray location and son at academy etc. ). Just as we'd have the advantage trying to bring Leo back etc.

But were they / are they the right players to take us forwards ? Seems very short term

Time will tell. Zamora was a success, hopefully Murray will be too. Strikers are tough to land, we can't afford to bring in 2 high fee signings.
