Say we allegedly get GM, and he gets injured, what then?
Then we'll be relying on Baldock, Hemed and whoever the other striker is that we sign.

Same as if we get a different player and he gets injured.
We scored 9 more goals than Middlesbrough, the same number as Burnley.
I'm quite sure it's been mentioned everywhere that we'll be looking to sign 2 strikers? My point was, as you have eloquently stated, is that we would be back to sq' one, meaning a couple of signings would be appreciated in the striker department

We have one on the plane
But signing Zamora into a squad containing Baldock meant they weren't 'what if' they were 'when'.But what if one of those is injured....what if ...what if what if what if .......ah the game of football...what if Smith had scored
Eh? The Argus has consistently reported our interest in re-signing Murray over the last 6 months:-
January 29: - Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is playing hard ball in Brighton and Hove Albion's bid to re-sign Glenn Murray
March 23: - Brighton and Hove Albion boss content with options as deadline looms
May 30: - Brighton and Hove Albion will have to pay if they want to get Glenn Murray back
Honest...
I have also heard it is a done deal!
The three or four games that we scored heavily towards the end of the season masks the FACT that we were lightweight upfront until January. Less goals and more wins would have seen us over the line as would beating rather than drawing with the teams that finished above us

If Ridgewell and Murray are the LIMIT of our AMBITIONS I'm RIPPING up my season ticket and sending it to Barber

GM not on plane but will be backElaborate please
Agreed. It could be anything of a number of things.
In the first half of the season we had scoring draws with Burnley, Derby, Cardiff, Reading, Huddersfield and Bolton.
Even just one fewer goal conceded from any of those games would have seen us promoted. So, over 46 games, was it still ALL down to our forward line ?
