Tony Bloom produced a fantastic heads-up display against Erik Seidel to reach his third Poker Million final.
"The Lizard" is written in Poker Million history having appeared in the first two finals and he will hope to make it third time lucky when he returns for the December 10 live final.

This is a much, much bigger achievement though as the first two were shovefests with British players and celebrities. Jimmy White won the second one. Now it has moved from Ladbrokes to Full Tilt, the top pros from Tilt are playing.

it does make you wonder dosent it, 30k is just play money for him. I really dont think spending a few hundred thousand on a striker would even touch the sides.

cant quite get my head around the fact that theoreticly you could play 1 hand and out you go minus your stake , scarey ,but i guess if you can afford it the mindset is rather different.

I'm not so sure "play money" is fair. He only plays a handful of tournies a year so if you add it up, it is probably like me playing a £400 tournament given the amount I (used) to play regularly for £20.

ive only been playing around 6 months and stick to micro stakes ,but was curious if the standard was noticeably higher in a higher stake game so i sacrificed $30 and took my chances, i didnt win and tbh i didnt really notice any difference in the standard from the $1 dollar games , i took from that their are equally as bad players playing for larger stakes as there are playing for low ones.

Beware - there is a huge gap as you go up. I don't have the patience for cash games but when I tried, I killed the $10NL but was killed on the $25NL. There are bad players at all levels but get out of micro stakes and there are more steady players than bad.

i reckon your right and my 1 game was not really enough to label all bad, i was just expecting a whole raft of different tactics that simply never happend, dont think ile ever leave the security of the $1 turbo room , at least ile know its never going to break me

I've just read that report and it might as well have been written in Albanian as far as I was concerned.
Card playing seems to have come a long way from twist or buy, or going blind on 3-card brag - now it's about flops and pockets.
I'm glad our chairman's doing well but it's certainly not something I'm going to follow.

I was amazed when I looked it up as I'm sure last time I checked (20 years ago probably), it was 3 AUS$ to the pound. Now it appears that 100000 AUS$ is £58000 which is probably the biggest buy in tournament anywhere.
