Going off at a tangent somewhat, I watched the film Deal last night, with Burt Reynolds as the retired pro coming back for one last shot at winning the World Poker Tournament. It wasn't great.

Anyways, good luck Tony, but as TGC says, it's more of a hobby and not something we should be looking at funding new players!

Cheers. I thought i read something about the winnings for this game would be $90000 so im presuming that this is an early round? Sorry if im asking what seems completely obvious.

Yep - there are heats and then a final. The winner of each heat wins $90000 and a seat at the final. The runnder up gets another go in a runners up event where again the winner gets $90000 and a seat at the final. The winner of the final wins $1 million. Bear in mind it cost $30000 to enter though.

Oh he was ahead going in alright but the turn was kind on a few occasions for him tonight. Can't beat that lineup without some luck though.
