Massa must have agreed to sign as a No 2. What happened is wrong but I can't feel an ounce of sympathy for a man who signs up to be No 2. The fact that he was given a two year extension before he even raced again after his accident and just after Alonso signed is too co-incidental. Alonso was never gonna make the mistake he made when with McLaren again.
This is what you signed up for Massa, live with it. You are after all getting paid millions as well, you'll just never be a World Champ.
Even so, with a bit of sense being applied Ferrari will be stripped of all Championship and constructors points for this race. The racing public and other teams shouldn't have to live with Ferrari's cheating, even if the drivers have agreed to it.
I think after this latest fiasco I shall give up on F1 for the rest of the season and beyond, only to check in to see what Jenson does as i've got money on him to win the Champ this year.
Plenty more other decent motor racing on TV and the internet to follow for me, next up the V8 Utes from Australia....guaranTEED excitement with them!
People forget how close Massa was to winning the Driver's Championship 2 seasons ago, and this Sunday Alonso couldn't get close to him before the "order" was given. Given that and the fact the guy's come back from a horror injury the decision looks even more crazy and insensitive.
You can get 3/1 on Alonso to win the Driver's Championship, so it's odd-on the field. A small short-term gain for Ferrari but at what cost?
The only upside is that in the whole "soap opera" that is F1 you need someone to hate and given Schumi's lacklustre performances the man is Alonso and the team is Ferrari.
