Gruda has played an 8 , Rutter never has.

Unsure what the plan is but its exciting
Watch the pre-season friendlies where Moran (another player who does not seem like a No.8) players CM. Rutter will surely replace him in the squad.

Rutter is an assist king and frequently occupies very deep positions in his Leeds showreels.

He is literally Joelinton on steroids.
I hope not or those mandatory drug tests are going to take us down a peg or two.

(I know what you mean though, and agree)

It's a bit weird - to me, at least - that the club decides the fee it is happy to sell at, but the player decides if he wants to go
You've got that pesky William Wilberforce to blame for this ridiculous state of affairs.

Controversial opinion here BUT. Pedro hasnt quite hit the heights for me. Take away the pens last season and how many goals and assists did he have.
It is better to use your EYES, than rely too much on just stats. He's a fantastic footballer, destined for great things. I have no doubt about that at all.

I don't know if that was the case.

And I was talking about backing in general, as opposed to wingers, but I get your point, GB. All water under the bridge - onwards and upwards, no?
Absolutely. What this window would have looked like under RDZ is a very moot point. Time to back the new coach and have another go at getting to Europe.

Yes, and the 'let's not count his penalties' thing is just NONSENSE. Attacking team play wins pens and scoring them is an art form. Every team needs a reliable penalty taker. I've seen people say the same thing about Harry Kane and they're wrong too.

Agree. But I think you're deluding yourself if you don't think he needs to be hitting double figures in goals from open play and assists if he wants a move to the top 4.

Assume Moder, Dahoud sold or loaned, Gilmour sold and Gross gone already, which is why I think we'll use Rutter as an '8'. Undav sold too. Rumours persist about Adingra.

Any more Jem? Think there'll be a big exit?

Can't see any of Pedro, Mitoma, Ferguson going - which is presumably your elite sales.
But yep. Can see movement for Igor, Adingra, Gilmour, and Dahoud - dependent on incoming.
Loans definitely for Moran, O Mahony, Rushworth and maybe (still) for Ayari, Sarmiento.
Still think O Riley / Kadioglu , A CB or alternatives and a third GK are incoming.

A lot of those penalties were won by that great underachiever.....

I'd add Enciso to elite sales but can't see him going either. A decent, injury-free season for him could see him as a top six target next summer.

Igor is an odd one. We need centre back cover, which is why he was bought in the first place, so we'd either have to sign someone similar or someone better than JPvH.

He's a big game player, the goal v Marseille at home (and away) was ice cold, finish v Palace was world class. I'm not surprised if the likes of Arsenal are sniffing. I seriously hope he stays. In fact if either Pedro or Mitoma went this window I'd be gutted and the Albion mojo a little deflated.
