Agreed . although of course there will be plenty of other exits / loans elsewhere in the squad. Its a big squad as Hurzeler said today.
Assume Moder, Dahoud sold or loaned, Gilmour sold and Gross gone already, which is why I think we'll use Rutter as an '8'. Undav sold too. Rumours persist about Adingra.

Any more Jem? Think there'll be a big exit?

What happens to the release clause if he decides to stay at Leeds? Does it get put back in, or is he then back on the free market, so to speak?

It's a bit weird - to me, at least - that the club decides the fee it is happy to sell at, but the player decides if he wants to go
Until the player knows the club who will be activating the fee he can’t really be expected to accept it though.

On the basis it’s expired, I would guess he’s now ‘open market’ in terms of price but quite possible there is a clause that prevents Leeds selling him to anyone else in any window in which the clause is activated ?
Rutter to Chelsea in January for £80m, then

Also, without wishing to de-rail the thread, wasn't it down to RDZ himself (not just not being backed) that Dewsbury-Hall wasn't SINGED in January? So said @Bozza
Surely if the only signing being rumoured was a player the coach didn't want then the coach isn't being backed

KDH isn't a winger anyway.

My view is that we struggled last season with just having Ferguson, Welbeck and Pedro as our strikers - O Mahony and Duffus got some minutes at some point - and then of course they were injured leaving us with little choice and depth. Pedro and Rutter are flexible and can play anywhere along the front line and as no.10s to Ferguson and Welbeck. So i'd be surprised if any of that four exited. And it looks like Hurzeler will play a front two.
PS: Ferguson is back in training.
I think Rutter is the No.8 to replace Groß. Insane assist stats from last year. First we chased KDH, then O’Riley and finally got this guy.

Look at our formations in our first friendlies, he’ll be replacing Moran in that system.

Any link to that @Bozza comment please? I missed that at the time.

Not without me spending ages trying to find it - in which time, someone else - maybe even Bozza himself - may have found it.

The gist was that RDZ did or didn't do something, which made KDH - who was apparently keen to come - think again and/or change his mind...

We have a bloody good side forming. We have brought well. I wonder what RDZ is thinking. Last summer bar Pedro he got bunch of freebies/loans. Nothing in Jan. Always the plan the spend once RDZ left...?
I wonder if the misalignment on who to spend the money on was the issue (RDZ wanting too great a say) as opposed to how much money

Wow. Thanks. I was pretty disappointed at the time as I think he's a great prospect.

Controversial opinion here BUT. Pedro hasnt quite hit the heights for me. Take away the pens last season and how many goals and assists did he have.
Quite. I do remember 90% of his flashy flicks and backbeats killing moves.

I don't know if that was the case.

And I was talking about backing in general, as opposed to wingers, but I get your point, GB. All water under the bridge - onwards and upwards, no?

Funnily enough, we were one of the biggest spenders in the January transfer window (Barco and Mazilu), plus a few promising youngsters - hardly anyone bought anyone. And we almost got KDH (which would have been north of £30m), but apparently RDZ didn't want him (??)
Mazilu joined in Jan but was signed months prior.
