I became a proper photographer when I bought an OM10, 37 years ago.

Considering the West Pier is just a bit of charred metal-work waiting to rot away completely, it is probably the most photographed thing in Brighton. There's something about it, but what?
Here's another from this evening, with two battalions of Starlings about to take the Pier from the Seagulls.

All buildings will rot away , this one just looks more interesting in its skeletal form than when it was complete. It is unique and and I guess than is what makes it better than say the other pier or the Pavilion.

Love the picture and the others on your site especially the one where the seagulls seem to stretch back to Shoreham. A couple of questions what was the ISO setting and the apperture size, did you need to use a ND filter?

Thank you very much.
If you look at any photos on my Flickr pages, if the image is viewed not full screen, (click the two diagonal arrows in the bottom right-hand corner to shrink down), scroll down a little and all camera settings are shown. By looking at other peoples' settings of photos I liked is how I learned a lot of what I know.
I didn't use an ND filter. I only use this in the day time although it could have been useful at early dusk.
