Me: Who are you voting for tomorrow?
Family/friend/colleague: The tories
Me: Really? Why's that?
Family/friend/colleague: Because they are strong and stable and know how to look after the economy and Corbyn is a terrorist sympathiser.
Me: You do realise that you will be paying more taxes whilst experiencing more cuts in your services. Meanwhile millionaire tories and their millionaire chums will give themselves more money and tax breaks and siphon off your taxes to fund their lavish lifestyles, don't you?
And you realise, of course, that ninety percent of what is coming out of the television and newspapers is tory propaganda because the media is own by billionaires?
You do believe that rather than the propaganda and lies that are being pumped into your living room, don't you?
Family/friend/colleague: We are safer from the terrorist threat under the tories and we are prepared to nuke anyone who messes around with us.
Me: Let me just be clear about this. Anyone who votes tory tomorrow is colluding with corruption and theft, lies and criminality, savagery and inhumanity and neglect and violence.
You want Britain to be great again? Open your eyes, your mind, your heart and your mouth to the truth, before it's too late.
I will give you a personal guarantee. A heartfelt promise actually, one I will deeply regret seeing fulfilled.
If you do not wake up and act now, you or your loved ones will be a victim of the tories one day.
Your loyalty and fealty will not be rewarded.
You will be punished for it.
The tories value nothing except greed and gain.
Have you forgotten the teachings of your grandparents and their generation?

If only all of the electorate was as intelligent and insightful as yourself.

I was going to vote for the Conservatives tomorrow but now I have seen the light. Thank you for saving me from another 5 years of Tory hell.

I thought I was capable of forming my own opinion. I now know that my mind if full of Tory propaganda feed to me by a bias media.

I will now give my vote to Labour. I can't wait for Mr Corbyn to f**k things up for the many and not the few.

Under the Tories, Brexit is a disaster waiting to happen as this particular group are utterly clueless. They haven't even bothered costing a manifesto, and they don't like discussing any issues (to the extent May won't even appear on TV debates). But worst of all, the whole party is being held to ransom by extremist hard-Brexit clowns, like Ian Duncan Smith and fellow goon, David Davis.

I'm not a Labour voter but frankly and IMO, 5 years of high taxes is a price worth paying if it means the Tories are removed from Brexit negotiations. They will ruin us for decades.

Whatever happens, I hope the graphics on the box don't become too complex, 3D and convoluted.

Back to basics guys, back to basics.

We will have to beg to differ. I am more than happy for Mrs May to handle to Brexit negotiations.

To be fair, I would rather anybody handle to the negotiations than Mr Corbyn. I would even rather stay in the EU than let Mr Corbyn f**k up the deal for the many and not the few.

We will both get our say tomorrow and I will respect what ever the outcome is.

What makes you think Labour will do a better job negotiating us through Brexit? Are you just blindly working on the basis that anything is better than the Tories, because that is a gamble too far, especially if I get crucified on taxes too.

I doubt very much if those in Yemen would think that as bombs and missiles made here drop on them

I've been posting on NSC for over 11 years, do you think I started when I was 0?

11 years? I'm shocked you haven't got the hang of it by now.
Anyway, I'm off out. Bed by 8 please, you can read for half an hour.

Peace.

Prediction: 45-seat tory majority. Couple of high-profile MP's get unseated.
Brighton & Hove stays at it is.

I'll leave the rest of you to your bunfight in the school canteen.

I think the polls showing the Conservatives 8-11% ahead are probably correct, so I'm going to say a larger Tory Majority.
Labour to lose some seats, Corbyn to be ousted, replaced by a centre right backbencher. Our Country to go to shit after a no deal Brexit, the NHS replaced by a USA style insurance system with all private healthcare. Tuition fees to rise to £15k+ by the end of my time at University. Police cut further down to the bare bones. But none of this matters as we will have Strong and Stable(TM) leadership and of course we'll let the EU know that Brexit means Brexit(C). And we'll be able to maul foxes with our dogs, what's more important than that?

That said, I do have the same gut feeling I had about Brexit and Trump, and it was right in both of those, about Labour winning.
But I guess it's the outcome I'd rather have, whereas the other two weren't.

It's a shame that the Lib Dems (who I generally support) didn't gain any momentum from disgruntled Remain voters and offering a decent manifesto that is sensible and not too far to the Right or Left, an alternative to the Tories continuing austerity and leading us to a UKIP fantasy Brexit and Labour promising what they will not be able to deliver.

I genuinely don't understand what Mrs May has actually done to make people believe that she will deliver a decent deal. She hasn't had the decency to explain how she is going to deliver anything whatsoever, Brexit or otherwise, in this election.

No I'm working on the basis that Labour have come up with a fully costed manifesto, almost as if they have given governance some thought. The Tories on the other hand, have arrogantly assumed we'd all vote for them because anything else is a vote for that nasty Mr Corbyn. Put it the other way, the entire cabinet have been shown up to be utterly incompetent. They have absolutely no plan and don't even want to be held to account. I simply do not want that sort of arrogance and abject failure to plan on our side of the negotiating table.

This is a line that I have heard a lot recently. It is beyond funny. Labour's economic policy can be summed up this way - Spend and rich people will pay for it.

The problem with socialism is that you soon run out of other peoples money. Mr Corbyns ideology looks good on paper. The only piece of paper it does not look good on is a spread sheet.

Just posted mine on the other thread. Tories to win by 40-50. Jezzer to stay leader of Labour. May gone sharpish, possibly due to "ill health" (c.f. Diane Abbot)
