As opposed to the Tories, remarkably adept at robbing the poor to line the pockets of the rich.

only, this isnt actually true. just a misguided concept of tax distribution based on political preference. the numbers dont support the assertion.

whats interesting about this policy is that Labour are willing to openly create a division between the youth and the pensioners. i think some of the removal of the reliefs proposed are pretty resonable, no one is going to be hard up as a consequence, and it wont affect the vast majority of the population. but its a bold move because the perception is that it will harm all pensioners. another interesting point is why its even necessary, because contrary to another misguided perception, full time student numbers havent fallen since the fees went upto £9K, they have increased. so this policy addresses a problem that probably doesnt really exist (people discouraged from Uni soley due to cost of fees).

Couple of points. Osborne has borrowed more than every labour government in history combined. John Major signed the treaty of Rome ensuring freedom of movement within the EU and immigration has gone up under this government

not sure what the point here is, unless it is to say Osborne needs to cut far more, and we should leave EU. incidently. John Major had nothing to do with Treaty of Rome, which was in 1957, freedom of movement of labour has been with us ever since our joining the EEC.

Given we weren't even a signatory to the Treaty of Rome ( let alone it being signed by John Major ) it kind of shows your political bias and stupidness.

Freedom of movement and labour wasn't an issue when we joined the EEC because there was only 9 member states in a cosy little club , its a little bit different 40 years later with the EU expanded to 28 member states.

Philip Davies, Conservative MP for Shipley and veteran Eurosceptic backbencher, has written this exclusive article for Get Britain Out:.
EU fanatics constantly tell people that 3 million British jobs depend on EU membership. This is disgraceful and inaccurate scaremongering which we must nail – otherwise it may prove to be very effective. Many British jobs depend on trade with the EU, but nobody is advocating an end to free trade.

Since we joined the Common Market in 1973, Britain has handed well over £250bn in membership fees alone, and in that time we have run up a balance of trade DEFICIT with the EU amounting to over £300bn. Given we buy far more from the EU than they buy from us, does anybody seriously think they would stop trading freely with us? Does anybody really think that BMW and Mercedes would allow the UK market to be restricted from their car sales?
These same EU fanatics said the British economy would be decimated if we didn’t join the Euro, so their ridiculous scaremongering has already been exposed once and we mustn’t allow them to get away with it again.

Why don't you respond to the criticism of your post rather than post this? I'm no Tory, but you don't seem to be defending your position too well

I don't have a fixed position and I was just showing tory boy its pointless him responding as he is on ignore after declaring my degree doesn't exist as a course. Then constantly denigrating the OU after admitting it might.

It would be a bit more honest of him if he quoted the net contributions and referred to the Balance of Payments rather than just trade.

And here is what Norway thinks of the utterly absurd idea that the UK could be like Norway.

Hmmm ..... a large chunk of that article suggests he's more worried about the weakening of the EU if the UK left in that the EU needs one of the strongest economies and strongest military powers to be part of the club. He barely scratches any benefits to the UK if we stay ( or indeed downsides to the UK if we leave ). His casual dismissal of NATO as a military power is somewhat surprising as well. NATO has call on troops in numbers to levels the EU could only dream of. The EU doesn't even have a credible fighting force. He seems completely pro-EU so I don't think those of us on the other side are going to take his article as particularly accurate.
