Images of Gaddafi's body being dragged through the streets might make the other despots think a bit more about co-operating with the International Court in future as an alternative to a public execution and mutilation.

I'm not an apologist for Gaddafi but do wonder if this will make him into a martyr to his tribal followers thereby creating even more fanatical terrorists thirsty for revenge on the West?

I don't imagine it will make that much difference. He clearly had a hard core of people who would support him until the end anyway, given by how long he was able to hole up in Sirte.

Dragging a dead mans body through a street is so wrong. Can see what you are trying to do but for once Im not going to bite. I will only get banned. But for the record, Gadaffi was not a nonce

Yeah. I'm with you completely on this, Terry. Being tortured then disembowelled by a sex offender is okay in my view if the bloke fiddles with kiddies but I draw the line at dragging his body through a street. That's just not on. It's as you say - wrong. It's also disrespectful.

That Gaddafi did look like a paedo who's face had been to near a radiator though so I'm not going to cry about it.

Don't get me wrong. He deserved to be captured, killed or beheaded for the crimes he has commited. I'm just uneasy with dragging dead bodies through the street no matter who they are or what they have done. Whether that be a nonce or mass murdering dictator it makes no difference.

I know what you mean. Say you were out shopping and you had your eye on a nice bit of liver and onion for your supper and then you saw Gaddafi's body being dragged down the street. It would put you right off, wouldn't it? It would be okay if you were on your way to the shops but if you were on your way back you'd have spunked a few quid on some nosh that would have to go in the bin. Well, the onions would probably keep but the liver wouldn't.

That's the problem with these Arabs. Life is cheap whereas liver and onions ain't.

Would have preferred to have seen a trial to be honest and saw a few past and present politicians squirm as Gaddafi got to the "what the f*ck" stage.

We'll never really know what happen regarding Lockerbie probably. I've personally never thought that bloke did it and neither do some of the relatives of the victims either.

Anyway no great loss to humanity and what a shame his son never bought Crystal Palace.

Like quite a few people I think Iran was more likely to be behind the Lockerbie bombing than Libya.

If Megrahi HAD done it why keep denying it when he was released and while close to death.

Iran wanted revenge for the airliner the Yanks shot down the same year.

Much more likely to have been them.

The evidence found in Malta was suspicious too
