Have to admit to being initially very anti NJ being appointed. Now I'm not going to say he is definitely the answer but you just can't moan at 4 points in his first two games.

Now I don't know what to think, once I was indecisive now I'm not so sure...

I think for anyone who still has it in for Jones, surely that is now his redemption well and truly earned?

nJ has but Bloom on the spot now. nJ is passionate, British, seems to love the Albion, has got the players performing and has probably turned our season around. Not sure anymore could be asked of him, not sure anyone else could do better. I reckon it's Jones in.

I know what you mean it might be the players were just happy that Hyypia left, but i think Jones made some very good calls tonight and boosted the players confidence. This also highlights for me what a poor choice the last appointment was.

Good team selection (one I would not have made).

Why ever not?! This formation makes perfect use of our personnel. We have no proper width without KLL but we do have some flair in Collunga, Tex and Bennett, plus two excellent holding midfielders. Hyppia must be kicking himself because this team picks itself.

Albion currently 125-1 with both Bet Victor and 888Sport to gain promotion. Seventeen points adrift of play-offs....mmm...

Nathan Jones has gone from joint worst managerial reign in Brighton history to third best. 50% win rate.

I was well and truly in the Jones NO camp but am wavering a bit and the groundsheet has been rolled up but the tent pegs are still in! At the end of the day its all about results, if he gets another couple of wins then who knows, I would be prepared to admit I was wrong about him but Im not quite there yet.

Fantastic win!!!!! After Friday's stirring comeback this was just what we needed. Some would say Nathan should get a go as manager, some say he would be a disaster.
Just to point out something to those who state such things, it's an UNKNOWN. Colunga got slated by some before he scored a good pen then others slated March before he scored our second...just as Jones got a thumbs down by some before he and the team gained 4 points out of six and took us out of the relegation zone.

Fulham fan?

yeh mate. Fulham fan with 951 posts on a brighton board and a brighton player as his avatar.

but seriously. did the sleepy face as your post seemed a bit pedantic. I wrote something (which I still believe) and he scored straight after. obviously im gonna own up to looking like a mug and people appreciate this rather than me defending myself to the core in order to avoid embarrassment etc.

He could win the FA cup, remain unbeaten until the end of the season and worry every sheep in the uk but I've a sneaking suspicion it won't be enough to land himself the lead role of our great club. Shame really, I think he deserves the chance.

I don't think 1 game 1 draw can be considered worst managerial reign. A better point average than Sami for a start (before today).
