Let's face it, Trump recently voted out, Le Pen failing here, BoJo on his last dishonest legs. This alt-Right, post truth shitshow is on its last legs. Back to normal once someone does the decent thing and bumps off Putin.

Absolutely this. The alt-right, GB News “movement” was always the last howl of a dying ideal. It’s almost over. Everyone seems sick of it all.

Great result for France. It remains pro-EU and anti right wing, the best result us Europeans could have hoped for. Well done France.

Funny banter/narrative for these nsc ding-dong culture wars, but sadly and alarmingly Trump will win the next presidential election.

Biden and Harris now condemned by an overwhelming majority.

Not good if you’re; black, or gay, or need help with healthcare, or care about man’s destruction of the planet.

Macron is right wing and moves ever to the right.

But far better him than the racist/fascist.

Gods country fortnightly
I do wonder who would have happened if Jean-Luc Mélenchon has gone up against MLP, it nearly happened. There is a lot of hate in France toward Macron, unfounded IMO, but hate there is...

I'm not sure Trump is a shoo-in for the 2024 nomination.

In any civilised country he'd be on trial for Treason. There may yet be compromise charges.

The lesser of two whatever.

A nightmare for the once strong French left and all powerful unions. Economically strongly to the right, Macron’s gradually dismantling the enshrined employment and pension codes, and closed shops. Repeating what happened in the UK from 1979.
Lucky buggers have had it too good for too long..bring on the French Gig economy !

I bet their Food Banks will be a lot classier than ours.

Genuine question:

What do you think is better, delivering food on a moped whenever you feel like it or being forced down a dangerous coal mine 40 hours a week?

Genuine answer...is anybody actually " forced " down a dangerous coal mine in mainland Europe these days ?

I can fully understand feeling forced to deliver pizzas in the evening after a day working on minimum wages.

You really are a sad little Neo Fascist.

https://www.haaretz.com/world-news/...-marine-le-pen-has-a-putin-problem-1.10755639

"loan that Le Pen’s party received in 2014 from the First Czech-Russian Bank, suspected to be close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Whether or not the loan was indispensable, Le Pen’s family ties with Russia go way back."

And have a look who has given your comment a thumbs up. I find all that particularly passive-aggressively weird. Perhaps you might remind him that you know where he lives :lolol:

He very nearly knocked Le Pen into third place - he could easily have been taking on Macron tonight. And may have won in that contest.

No. And that was exactly my point.

Believe it or not, delivering a pizza on an electric scooter is progress. You're not going to get emphysema or crushed Primary Schools from that.

yes they are. they say people who vote a certain way are "stupid", ignoring any motivations for why they might vote for options against long term interests. or even wonder why they want those outcomes. just insult them. Le Pen shouldnt even be close right, yet is for the second time. nver mind, worked out in the end despite the stupid voters.

if the fascists, or communists, are being voted for in millions, the politicans of center ground are getting many things very wrong. dont blame the voters.

Oh, we're not allowed to know where people live, unlike, say. local election candidates.

But we do know their account set up histories and any weird peccadillos therein.

What would you say, specifically, that centre ground politicians are getting wrong?

And how would you suggest that Marxism or Fascism solves the problem?

I haven't seen anyone here telling people how to vote.

It would be mostly pointless anyway as the majority on NSC don't have a vote in France
