Fox Hunting Ban - Am I Missing Something?

I personally couldn't give a toss if fox hunting is banned and, to be frank, if I never again see any of those ridiculous people on tv ,dressed up with black top hats, stupid bright red jackets blowing horns and sipping sherry/port/or whatever they drink before a hunt starts, then bothered.

What gives these people the right to say that they will completely ignore the law that was passed yesterday ( with a massive majority ) and carry on hunting - with all the associated threats of disruption, protests etc.

Really get pissed off with people like this - probably why I read the Guardian. Incidentally, Simon Hoggart's parliamentary sketch on the front page of said newspaper today was priceless.

Rant over.

wherever the money is
What pisses me off is that all the news is babbling on about are Fox hunt bans but no one has foccussed on that poor woman who had her throat cut and was robbed in Southwick. Surely this is much more important as some little **** has murdered some poor defensless woman for a few quid. This little shit needs to be caught so the focus should be on that and not fox hunting bollox

Now which one would you call news

I assume said people will be quite happy when the burglars who take their stuff decide to do so because they "choose not to follow the law on theft". Bloody idiots, arrest them, imprison them.

Although Im completly behind the 'fathers for justice' campagine, I think the behaviour of Batman and Robin is disgusting. As soon as they scaled the fence they should have been shot. Buckingham Palace is world property, they could have been terrorists, Im sure they could have blown themselves/and half of the palace up. Secuiity needs to be tougher.

As for the wanker that got a beating from the police, im glad. now they now how the fox feels. bastards.

The people who broke into westminster also need repremanding. They put democracy at risk! they need armed guards, not men in tights with fancy swords.

my rant over.

Couldn't agree more. All they're doing is displaying their complete contempt for democracy. I also find it hard to get too worked up over the issue of hunting itself, but the fact these people seem to think they are above the law just highlights their deep down "we know what's best for you all, now stop bothing yourself with such complicated issues and get back to your factories" attitude.

Also they seem to think its ok as they're dead posh. If Class War had broken into Parliament I think everyone would be screaming hang em.

Has anyone considered what actually happens to a foxhound when it isn't fast enough anymore.

And what happens to the puppies that don't make the grade ?

Honest question - I understand they are usually shot, but I might be wrong.

Does anyone how many hounds are destroyed each year ? I've read different figures - running into thousands.

Nah, it was great fun yesterday, a weird experience cheering on the police as they cracked a few heads :jester:

Probably because it is their chosen sport/passtime? How would we behave if Blair tried to ban football? Good luck to them!

How on earth can u say that?

It simply does not compare!

Football is not cruel, we dont take pleasure in humiliating and killing animals. (squiril pitch invasion not encluded). We dont have to kill thousands of dogs every year coz their no long animals, more killing machines.

What you have just said it absolutly riduclous.

I think you will find that the dogs are only bread to hunt. When there is no hunting, they will not even get a chance to live a reduced life!

What a lot of bollocks. The only people I know that hunt, are keen Forest supporters and are disgusted that Prescot has not given us Falmer yet. They just can't believe it.

Shooting them may detonate their suicide vests?

Why don't terrorists dress up as fox hunters or batman?

Are they not responsible for well keeping of their dogs?
If I had a healthy dog and one day decided that I wanted to put a bullet through it's head I would expect to be fined and banned from keeping animals for a considerable time, and rightly so.
Why should these people be treated any differently?

Now hunting has been banned the hounds will all be destroyed, quite possibly a few of the horses as well.

Foxes will have to be shot in future to protect lambs.

I am not pro-hunting but the hysterical women crying saying that foxes are poor defenceless animals (who very often get away from a hunt) have obviously never seen a lamb or a shed full of chickens when the fox has got them.
