PAH.

Real will tonk Barcelona in El Derby, a comfortable 1-0 win with Raul scoring the decisive goal. If this is to be Raul's last season, you just KNOW Real Madrid will win the league to sign off the great man.

1-0 isn't not really a tonking is it?

Whereas:

Real Madrid 2 - 6 Barca (at the Bernabeu as well!)

last season, that was a tonking. Barca will still win the league.

Rooney gets his goals in a poor for them United team. Messi gets his in the marvelous Barcelona team against SOME teams that wouldn't live in the Championship. And as someone has said,Messi rarely performs well for Argentina in a modest for them team, whilst Rooney has time to eat all the pies AND score shedloads of goals for club and country.

So Zamora every time,really.

Yeah ok you keep going on about that and ignore what I'm saying.

Sorry, I just get frustrated at the lack of credit English players get for being able to play whilst foreign players are endlessly praised for their technical "superiority". Its totally outdated thinking. If I was to list Rooney's attributes "pace and power" would not even be in the top 5.

I'd like to see Messi play in England. I think Ronaldo going over there and absolutely walking it, along with other premier league players who have gone there in their latter years, and a lot of players coming from there and being total flops in England, proves that Spain is a sub-standard league. Our dominance in the champions league proves England is THE best place to ply your footballing trade.

What dominance?

Since it was renamed the Champions League in 92/93, English teams have won it three times (Man U in 1999 and 2008, Liverpool in 2005) whereas Spanish teams have won on 5 occasions (Barca in 2006 and 2009, Real in 1998, 2000 and 2002).

i think his point is that in the last few years England's "big 4" seems to dominate the latter stages of the CL, suggesting there is more strength in England than the spanish league who only have 1 team that's there or there abouts.

Hasn't there been an english finalist for about 5 years running?

Messi has scored Barca's last 7 goals apparantly, incredible feat. Although not sure if that says more about Barca than Messi

Spain is a sub-standard league.

Behave.

Ronaldo hasn't "walked" la Liga any more than Torres has the Premiership, and any number of players would have similar impact - both leagues have two or three really good teams, four or five decent ones and a lot of decidely average sides. I wouldn't wank over the Premiership too much when you've got heavyweights like Wigan and Bolton making up the numbers.

Make that their last 8 goals. 0-2 Barca

Make sure you see his second goal. Words cannot describe that class. I actually love him. Strength power pace dribbling touch and finish
