True, by a GD of two. That will change though.

PAH.

Real will tonk Barcelona in El Derby, a comfortable 1-0 win with Raul scoring the decisive goal. If this is to be Raul's last season, you just KNOW Real Madrid will win the league to sign off the great man.

Not a chance.

I predict Barca will win La Liga again, then sign off the season by winning the Champions League in Real's own backyard.

Whereas I think that, without a question, the Champions League will distract them and they'll fall behind the now fully focused Real Madrid. Ronaldo is going to score in every remaining game and Real Madrid are going to walk the league.

Patronising nonsense. Rooney is exceptionally gifted and skilfull, but keep swallowing the tiresome myth that English players can't be technically gifted if you like...

Where have I said that then??? Have you ignored I've said they're the best two players in the World?

Rooney's goals, headers in particular come from the lads raw power as well as skill. You just don't see Rooney scoring goals like Messi. A goal is still a goal though and as mentioned above if he taps all his goals in at the WC then I'll be delighted. It's just if you compare goals then Messi's tend to have that extra little something that make them a delight to watch.

From what (little) I've seen, Higuain looks very special.

Did you see him missing the open goal on tuesday night? :lolol: That was less special.

He has a very good record and is a very workmanlike player, but I still think he's quite overrated. Call me an idiot, and with justification, but I think he looks special in a very good team. Obviously a talented chap but I don't rate him as highly as alot of people seem to. A bit of a poor man's Rooney in a way.

I guess we'll see.

Will be interesting to see how things go next season if 'The Translator' pops up at the Bernabeu when Pellegrini inevitably gets the boot, mind.

I really thought Real would win the CL this year but now they're out of that then I agree they should take La Liga. Can't wait for El Classico

We shall indeed sir. I take it from this evening's conversing that you favour Barca over Real? Honestly, the things you learn about people when it's too late!...

Jose Mourinho in charge of Real Madrid. Amazing prospect.

I most certainly do.

They are the only club beyond the Albion that I support to any degree whatsoever.

Whereas here I sit in my Robben 11 Real shirt. :lolol:

It's safe to say I've actually seen more of Real Madrid than Brighton this season. Which is, no matter how it sounds, very disappointing.

The way things have gone this year it's probably a good thing!

Not especially, my first season was 97/98 and nothing is ever going to match the horrors of that season. My expectations are very low in general, but now we're established a division higher. :clap2:

But why oh why did we have to lose TWICE to Swindon. :tantrum:

Anyhoo, Real Madrid 4-1 winners and Barcelona win 3-0. As you were in Spain.

I don't really agree. Rooney has exceptional skill levels - his first touch, his deftness of touch, his precision passing - but because he's English he's all about "pace and power".

Don't think the Madrid fans will agree with you, doesn't play the exciting attacking football they demand. Capello was booted out quickly enough for not playing with the style they want. Having said that can see Benitez ending up there next season despite his style or football.

Barca were better without Ibrahimovic. Henry, Pedro and Messi up top is the way to go

One of the prizes among my football shirt collection is a Barca shirt signed by Ronaldinho.

A friend of my Dad's used to work for Chelsa, and when Barca were over for a Champions League game (the one where 'dinho scored that curler with the outside of his foot that left Cech looking like a lemon), he was able to get the man to provide his autograph on a Barca shirt with his name and number on it.

He wore Number 10, and the signature is on the '1' of the 10.
