Does anyone play the iPad version of Football Manager? Is it any good?

As an app in it's own right it is very good.
Obviously the trick is to not and try and compare it to it's PC counterpart.

Does everybody play this in classic mode or the mode where you watch the games in 3D, out of interest?
Just found out I can manage Horsham on FM14, straight down to Game tomorrow then

You can watch the games in 3D in both formats I believe.
I'm playing full career mode which as I have a four year old, not top of the range, lap top I was fearful was going to run the game too slowly but its actually quite speedy although I am only part of the way through the first season. My graphics card is not great so the highlights are little jumpy but still watchable.
The classic mode is good, I only played that on last years version, and you can get through a season very quickly but I have gone back to the full version this year and I must say I am enjoying it a lot more.
Do many people watch the match then? I have my setting to the fastest gameplay and skip all replays and video, takes to long otherwise IMO, I just replace subs if needed.
Some of you may have been having probs with match ratings... especially full backs..... a new update has just been uploaded which attempts to address this.

I'm currenyl managing a Segunda division Spanish team and got knocked out of the playoffs in the first leg, tipped for another promotion push again this season but we are hemorrhaging money despite being within the wage budget.
I've installed the instant result skin which adds a new button and effectively lets your assistant manager take charge of the game and just pops out a result at the end. It acts as if you've taken charge of the game so you have to be careful if your assistant is a bad motivator as he could give a terrible half time talk and you'll get stick from the players for it. May want to ensure he's good tactically as well.
I watch the first 5 matches of a season or any important matches and the rest I just use the instant result button, helps to blaze through the boring parts of a season.

currently managing Tromso who are the most northerly club on earth, got to the final knockout stages of qualifying for the europa league, and in the chase for the title at the end of the season - really good fun, but really hard to keep hold of your better players. got my new laptop arriving tomorrow, so might start again, but this time with a lower-rated Scandinavian team, see if I can make my way from the lower reaches of Scandinavia to the big leagues. Bit more interesting than the standard English lower league challenge, depends if i can stick with it
