For anyone that's interested, the iOS/Android version is released this Thursday. Obviously, its nothing compared to the PC version, but it will do a very good job of keeping me entertained on the way to Wigan.

Not had the best of starts in the Prem but we're getting there. Already got the first games against Southampton, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and City out of the way, taking 7 points in the process, which seems alright.

This was a particularly proud moment:

Signed up two tasty regens that are joining up in January also, both signed for £4 million with no sell on clause:

Ive taken on the reins of Whitehawk with the intention of taking them to the Premiership. I dont have alot of time now so its going to be slow with updates but we are absolutely crushing the Skrill South the mo. In Jan2014 and 8 pts clear. The trick seems to be holding on to the key players next season and having enough rep to compete in getting new ones.

I started a new save as Whitehawk as my Brighton one was crashing constantly. First season - easy peasy, got them promoted but then none of my players would sign a new deal, I can't get anyone slightly decent to sign and I'm now lingering around the relegation zone in my second season. Hopefully if I keep them up this season I can leave them to manage a bigger team.

There seems to be a 'bug' with the increase of reputation when you go up a division... if you stay up youll probably find that youll be able to buy more players the following season. Either that or if you have in-game editor, put your rep to one that is on-par with your rivals. You're not cheating, you're balancing out a bug.

Wherever The Mood Takes Me
I have been managing Burton Albion since the start and was lingering just outside the play off positions. Just before Christmas Oscar got sacked from Brighton so I thought I might as well apply for the job. Anyway, the Burton board got wind of my application and gave me the option of quotting or risk getting fired, so I quit. Brighton promptly went and appointed Mick McCarthy as manager and I was left on the jam roll. On Christmas day after an interview I got offered the Luton Town job which I took. They were in 8th performing below expectations. 3 of my first 4 games were againt the top 3 in the league and I won 2 of them and drew the other. Another couple of games in and I was sitting pretty in 4th with games in hand. All was looking good...........and then the game crashed!

Morale of the story: Don't annoy your chairman & save regularily!!!!

A little birdy has told me that changing your full backs to the wing back role will help to mitigate their badness. It kinda works. I'm getting 6.4-6.8 consistently on full backs with Brizzle sh1tty.

Was 2nd with a game to go, had Watford and Forest 2 points behind. Was 3-0 up against Forest at half time, lost 4-3, then lost on penalties in playoffs to leicester. Resigned to playing another season (first time ever in fm haven't gone straight up...) Then found all players wanted ridiculous wages. Went back again played the season run in again and got promoted.

Rebuilding squad for prem. Rebuilt the defence pretty solid (probably too many players). Really struggling for attacking midfielders and strikers though, only really have who we have currently... Buckley, Lualua, Crofts, Ulloa and Barnes. Also got Fran Merida, but need more! They all seem to be worth about £10m and want 35k a week. Which I can't afford. Was battling with Everton for Tom Ince, then found out he wanted 60k a week plus add ons. Greedy ****.

Basically throw all the decent midfielders and strikers you know of for fairly cheap at me. Probably looking at more unknown strikers now as a lot of the known ones have gone. However just throw all you know at me, I'm getting desperate. Palace, cardiff and Hull got relegated so didn't really help from them having no one.

I had the same problem. With CM's I would recommend Fran Rico from Atletic Bilbao for an advanced playmaker, got him for £500k, and Jorge Enriquez from Chivas as a CM/DM. 23, 4-star rated and only cost £1 million. I did sign him in January after begging Tony for more money mind.
Ryan Mendes Da Graca has been a cracking signing for me on loan as well if you're after a RW. Do NOT sign Quaresma though, whatever you do. Utter turd.
Thought I'd found a gem in Mike Havenaar from Vitesse for £5 million, scored 6 in his first 8 in the Prem, been utter shite since. He and Ulloa are my only strikers, they're bloody killing me.

THOUGHTS:

Huge improvement on last year IMHO, which was the first (and hopefully last) FM that I really struggled to get into. I'm completely hooked this year! I play really, really slowly and micro-manage everything, never buy players sight-unseen etc so it takes me forever to play but I'm rather obsessive-compulsive so it's the way I like it!

Lots of injuries, a constant stream of 'knocks' throughout every match is grating but realistic I suppose. I don't know if it's the system I'm using but games are very high-scoring this year! Been some crazy scores for and against; losing 5-4 at Ipswich and 6-4 at Yeovil spring to mind! We're on a 19 game unbeaten run at the moment which is great, and our strikers are amazing. Barnes has 16 goals and 10 assists from 19 starts  and Ulloa has 24 goals and 8 assists from 25 starts. Mental. Orlandi has 17 assists (but no goals) from his 25 starts. Buckley (playing most of his games up front) has 10 goals from 17 starts. Even Lewis Dunk scored 6 in 6.

Will update again at the end of the season!

My first season in the prem is not going well. No points. Four games gone. Not sure what has happened to my defence. Utter shambles.

I've started playing a 4-2-1-2-1 with a Regista and defensive Ball Winning Midfielder, along with the deeper defensive line shout, and we've tightened up no end, the goals are finally flowing from Ulloa. 30 points from 27 and 6 points clear of the drop, think we're gonna make it!
