download it through the mirrorfootball link provided earlier. only takes 10 minutes

Oh great, I clicked it now and it says updating Football Manager 2010. Its got 6 hours and 40 minutes, I might aswell just restart my computer up and download it from the Mirror website. This is a absolute piss-take.

dont forget that every man & his dog would be downloading the demo tonight so speeds will be slow on Steam, happens with most big game downloads so nothing new!!

Just started.. looks interesting.. the last time I bought FM I only played it for like 2 years (gametime) and never went back.. worried I might be burnt out of playing FM.

Two slight problems:

Why is Glenn Hoddle's Accademy registered as a team? Surely this is just a youth set-up?

And why is Adam El-Abd one of our "best players". I let him go out on loan and Forster said that he'd lost faith in me after that decision.

Haha, I got the some Murray message and chuckled, and I got asked to go to Glenn Hoddle's Academy also. First act of manager was taking Gary Hart off the transfer list.I bought 3 players so far. Looking good.

They're an academy in the game, not a proper team, but obviously they play games as they do in real life.

El-Abd isn't one of our best players, far from it. So that sounds like a bug to me, will get someone to fix it for the first patch!

Football Manager Online SHOULD be the best game in the world. I'm not a fan of the way they have implemented it though. I'd rather tonnes of real world universes, you get put into them managing a real team, and have far less games per day. I would be all over that.

So basically the same as regular football manager, just with every club run by a human. Would be BRILLO pads.

In that case, what you are looking for is IOTP - football (soccer) play-by-mail (PBM) manager games - fantastic online game, where all clubs are run by human managers.
