I hate Man U, but you can do nothing but admire Sir Alex. He's earned the title.

Now I look forward to a change in the dynamic of the Premier League. People talk about Man City's millions changing the mix, but I feel Sir Alex's retirement will do more than Ambramovich and Sheikh Mansour's millions combined.

Not so sure, a decent run club with decent players verging on the top 6 or 7 in the division. Plus they may get some compo from United although Moyes is out of contract soon I think so it wont be a great amount. probably less than they would have to pay us for Gus..

Will be interesting to see when Sir Alex does finally go, whether Utd continue to monopolise the domestic honours. Obviously they wouldn't drop out of the top 4 but it would be nice to see a title fought for between 3 or 4 teams as opposed to two with one team normally having it sewn up way in advance. Most likely scenario would probably be Man City to start winning everything sadly.

We might even see the scenario similar to when Busby retired. They went through several managers and even got relegated!

The difference being that Busby let his players go on too long without replacing them so he left a team of old men who were past their best and had to be replaced that is not the case now.

Goodbye to a miserable Scottish git who would use any combination of cajoling,bullying,threats, to get what he wanted on or off the pitch. If a team ever beat United it would have been because the referee or linesman got a key decision wrong or did not see a clear penalty for or a sending off against united. No team ever beat his team by simply being better and playing better football.

In 26 years in English football he never really learned to speak English either, the least deserving of all British footballing knights whose " win at all costs" attitude was allowed to flourish to the detriment of the game.

Good riddance.
