I’m loving our attacking options for the season, they’re immense, but can we please get a RWB in, and if we’re shipping out any of our CB options, then a replacement CB too.

Am I being stupid? In theory Veltman, Lamptey, Hinshelwood, Milner and March can all play in the RB/RWB position, but really it’s only Veltman and Lamptey who have that position as their primary role, and I don’t want to see Milner played anywhere outside of midfield.

I honestly don’t know if our CM needs strengthening or not. If Ayari and Yalcouye remain and do well, then together with Baleba, Milner, (and we still have Dahoud and Moder on the books) we definitely have numbers. Surely they can’t all stay?

I guess we’ll find out in the next couple of weeks, but I can’t remember a window where we were days from the first match and I didn’t really know what our midfield would look like, or whether we were going back 3 or back 4.

Im sure Man U want him, its wether they need other areas more.

When Shaw and Dalot are fit they will play, plus the other full back they signed from Bayern. Or certainly it offers the chance that Ferdi would be out of the side.

With us he knows he will play 80% of the games.

If they bid the money obvs he will go there.

Lamptey has the pace for it, Hinshelwood has the youth, energy and versatility. However, one is made of glass and the other is just as effective in midfield. We saw on Saturday that Veltman there with Minteh in front of him will leave a hole the size of the one above the ozone layer on our right wing, while Milner doesn't even have the pace to play conventional right back now.

Could use him as a midfielder though and Shaw won't play a third of games as always injured. B4 they sign they have too get rid, as stated in media need to off load McTominay and Casemiro first.

All of this.

It probably isn't that far off to suggest that how the season will go is going to be determined by whether or not we bring in a decent, natural RB/RWB before the end of the window.

Any chance Pfab is a mad scientist who can fuse Lamptey with Veltman and give us a well-rounded RWB named Lampman?

Caicedo turned down Man Utd didn’t he ?

If Caicedo had been offered Manchester United while he was still in Ecuador, he and his Mum and 11 brothers and sisters would have been on a flight out of Quito before you could say "Ruud van Nistelrooy". He was a lifelong United fan, don't you remember? Before he remembered he was a lifelong Chelsea fan, I mean.

The only reason he didn't go to them was because the complicated third party ownership set-up around many South American players put United off, whereas it's fairly well documented that our existing relationships on that continent (including the Billy Arce deal ) helped us push it through.

I wonder what they’ll get for Casimero, he was 30 million two seasons ago wasn’t he? Big wages too, could be (hopefully will be) problematic offloading him.

McThug should be easy to move on as long as he wants to be
