Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd closely followed by "Going Home" by Dire Straits.

Don't think we've had this thread before but if we have I've forgotten so time for a resurrection :)

Mods' Pet
Liquidator - Harry Johnson and the All Stars always makes me feel happy.

I know a lot of clubs play it but I still like it. Maybe once a year the first team could come out onto the pitch to it, Madness stylee.

Theme For Great Cities - The Simple Minds

The Thin Air - Magazine

The Rock - The WHO

Drivin' South - Jimi Hendrix

Paris Match - Style Council

Albatros - Fleetwood Mac

Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd

The Stumble - Freddie King

Echoes - Pink Floyd

Lullaby - Wishbone Ash

Dogs Pt2 - The WHO

The best driving music ever - FACT!

Top of my list too - but also, the Simple Minds did a lot of instrumentals that were excellent. I compiled several of them on a tape once, making up around 50 minutes of brilliant tunes. Some were versions of songs done without the words - like Seeing Out The Angel and Earth That You Walk Upon.

I was going to put Samba Pa Ti but the overplay on M&S adverts has spoilt it for me now :(

You can get an instrumental version of GOSBTS for your mobile. That's quite good

Hither (sometimes Thither)
The Silver Jews - Night Society.
Although i have to admit to being somewhat moved by the tinkled tones at the end of a Neighbours episode that has ended shortly before with either a Harold Bishop lost at sea from that craggy groin of his, a newly-wed couple skating into the distance with tins dragged on the ground behind as the jealous wish them all the best, or Helen Daniels has only had a stroke and we half-hoped it was a bit more. Just like Stefan Dennis did.

Lujon by Henry Mancini
Theme from Midnight Cowboy (as well as just about everything else) by John Barry. I think I read somewhere that he wrote this in 15 minutes...the genius.
