Grizzling? Im just upset at the abuse I am getting. I have never claimed to be perfect, but I am trying and I do not think that deserves the slating I so often get on here.

Would people rather I just did not bother?

Richie - You made a MASSIVE deal about this fanzine and the fact that it would be ready for the march while it was also clear that you seemed to be taking too much on yourself. Don't be surprised if a few people get the needle with you when it's not done on time.

No disrepespect to you, it's obvious you wanted it to be ready and you are almost repentent that it's not but it's your own doing, nobody elses.

Disclaimer: I've had nowt to do with the process, it's just a vibe I'm picking up.

I know its my fault it is not ready and yes I have taken a lot on my own shoulders. I was eager for it to be ready for Monday and am more gutted then anyone that it will not be printed by then.

My argument is not that someone else is to blame, merely that I am doing the best I can and in the current situation, i.e there is nobody who can commit the time and has access to Quark, i t is either I do the best I can or we do not have one full stop.

I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks next Thursday so I won't be at the Sheffield Utd game. Is it possible for me to get hold of a copy another way Richie?

I might bring out a rival fanzine by Monday.

Chappers and TLO: I'm afraid you're a couple of knobs.

Richie spends a lot of time, a lot of work and by the sounds of it a bit of money on this fanzine. He's doing it for a good cause and doing it out of the kindness of his heart for this club. Yet you chuck it back in his face.

TLO: He never blamed you, just stated that he couldn't open the file. What 'cos you've done the 40 Notes Fund you think you're the know-all of this club? Get your head out of your own arse mate.

Chappers: What the f*** have you ever done to get this fanzine published? Except for criticising and moaning your balls off thus pissing us all off when we have to read your boring, utter shite.

Good job, Richie. Do whatever you want mate, keep the fanzine going and print it whenever you like seeing as it's your own thing. If the other 2 don't like it why don't they make a fanzine of their own? Cos they're all gob that's why.

Well done Rich. Don't listen to these 2. I for one will certainly be buying the fanzine.

.

We are a couple of knobs, I thnk that's generally accepted now.

I've stated I've got nothing to do with it and just stated I'm getting a vibe that Richie is looking for excuses when it would be easier to just state it won't be out in time, I am not blaming him, he seems t be getting it together, it just seemed he was looking to place blame when there was nowhere to place it.

Crikey.

No, you've constantly slated him over the past month.

Maybe a bit of support wouldn't go amiss?

I have??

Me and Richie have a kind of love/hate relationship but it's all light hearted. I have respect for the man for trying to get this together, it's more work than I could be arsed to do. Anyway, I digress, good luck with the rest of the fanzine etc etc and I'll keep me mouth shut in future.

Thanks for the support Jonogulls.

In fairness to Chapmans The Savour, I know it is just banter when he has go.

I dont want to go on about this for ages but the only reason I did not just come on here and say 'it will be late' was because I thought Id get slated. Because of that I gave a few reasons as to why it would be late. I wasnt trying to pin the blame elsewhere, just show that there were reasons other then me being a lazy useless arse which is the picture some paint.

Better point out that the printing costs of the last edition were very kindly covered by generous people from NCS because I was a poor student.

I will happily pay for the printing on my own for future editions.

I do not quite understand why people feel they have the right to have a pop though. Biscuit has been a great help, as has Roz who's advice has been invaluable. The Large One has a right to be pissed off because I did not contact him first with regards to the advert which I now admit I should have done.

However, these people aside I do not think anyone has the right to start telling me I am a twat for not getting it out. Lets be fair, it is a fanzine that I have collected articles for using NSC along with Biscuit and that I am going to finance and my friend is laying up. If it is late then thats my problem. What is has got to do with many people on NSC who like to put in their two pennies worth is beyond me.

The last edition was sorted out by a whole range of people and I cannot thank those who helped enough for the time they gave. Had that edition been this late then yes, people on here could have had a massive go because they too were investing time and money in it.

This edition though is different. As I said, Roz has given me invaluable advice for which I am hugely greatful, as has The Large One. Biscuit and Del Boy have helped and Turkey kindly sorted out some articles, including one from the Wrexham fanzine. Other then that I dont think anyone has the right to have a huge go at me for it being late.

NSC has been used to gather many superbly written articles but the fanzine is far from the property of every member of this board and so I do not see how what I do is somehow accountable to everyone.

A knob? The largest there is.

How does doing stuff for the 40 Notes Fund make me a know all? And as far as sticking my head up my arse, I am afraid I am a little too rotund to physically attempt that - but I will let you know how I get on.

Even Richie says I have a right to complain about this. He would be well-advised to listen to sage counsel on here - and he does. You have not been party to previous conversations, so when you know what you are talking about, then have a moan.

Quite simply, I was frustrated by Richie's approach to the project, and the pre-press particularly. Richie has apologised, I have accepted. Maybe my attack was strong, but still, I feel, valid. We have all moved on, and the image on the back page will be a work of art, and a worthy addition to Richie's fine contribution to the other 31 pages.

Q: How many graphic designers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: (gritted teeth) IT DOESN'T NEED BLOODY CHANGING...
