I dont want everyone to fall out over this!

There was obviously a misunderstand between myself and The Large One as to the nature of my first post. I think we have now established that I was not trying to blame him and that I should have contacted him before posting a thread which could be read as blaming his advert. I can fully understand why The Large One was annoyed at me posting before contacting.

However, I still stand by the idea that people should be sticking the boot in a little less because I am doing my best and other then the generous advice Roz and The Large One have given me, it is only really me, my friend, Biscuit and Del Boy who are doing anything. If Biscuit or Del Boy want to have a go at me then fair enough, Im fine with that. Im also fine if Roz was annoyed that I did not give her much notice of needing her pics for the front cover. Again, that is fine because she has been offering advice whenever I wanted it which has helped me no end.

As I have now said at length, I am doing my best and I am not accountable to every Tom Dick and Harry on NSC just because this is where the articles are gathered from. In this respect I think Jonogulls is right.

At the NSC Meet-Up on Monday - assuming you are coming, and it would be great to see you if you are - I will buy you a pint, will happily talk to you about ways of putting a publication together without feeling a sense of aggravation and injustice. Especially from your target market.

Feel free to ignore or take on board all, some or none of what I can beerily and blearily blurt out. Much of it I would have already told you. Much of it Roz would have already told you.

If you could do this without once whinging that you are being picked on, and without once apologising for... well, take your pick from the variety of curses you feel you have had inflicted upon you. And Paul Weller once wrote 'stop apologising for things you've never done, time is short, life cruel but it's up to us to change...'. I would like to think that you would come away from it 20 minutes older, and 20 years wiser.

The Large One. I would love to join you for that magical sounding 20 minutes but can you do it without taking the piss by saying things like 'take your pick from the variety of curses you feel you have inflicted upon you".

I am not the moaning, excuse making brat some people think I am. I am, however, keen to learn whatever I can from people more experienced in aspect of the media business. It may seem sometimes like I do not listen but I am and as I have said numerous times tonight, the advice you and Roz have given me has been very helpful.

Perhaps if people were less quick to kick the boot in I would be less quick to jump on the defensive.

Come away 20 feet taller? Does that mean you are going to be nice to me or kick me very hard up the arse?

I will look forward to it. I am coming but cannot stay too long I am afraid.

i dont mind that, when its up and running post it to zoo weekly and we might get in the fanzine part of the magazine and show to zoo how much we need falmer .

FFS I am not talking about 'some people's' responses, I am talking about mine. And that 'humurous aside' is not taking the piss. People have noticed how thin-skinned you are, and that is red rag to a bull.

The mere fact that you state 'I am not the moaning, excuse making brat some people think I am' makes you sound like the moaning, excuse making brat some people think you are.

Don't f***ing apologise - if you have a project and you want to see it through, focus on it. Set your targets, and look to achieve them. My suspicion is that your targets were not properly identified at the beginning, and have only become apparent as you have gone through this.

Think about it, and I will see you Monday. And to re-iterate, yes I will be nice. Just how nice you will have to find out then...
